I think that they are redressing the balance after having granted PhoebeM 10 days early!
100 baby!! We just got the email through. I'm crying like a baby. That's six years, two countries and five visas of pain over! We can finally get on with life. It's hard but my god I've never felt this relief! Good luck everyone, before you know it, it will all be over. Thankyou for all the support you've given us xx
  2. PhoebeM seems to have been the only one who's grant has come in significantly under the 9 month mark (10 days early!).

No grants announced this week; I wonder if the CO's have taken the week off for half-term?

Be patient, it WILL happen next week :jiggy:

ugh its half term? That's what I get for not having any kids, plus I'm not in the UK!.... but that would explain the absence of grants this week. Half term is over next week right?

Oh that's lovely! I'm new to these forum things too but it's been lovely reading posts finding out how people are getting on in their plans. Do you have any advice re shipping? That's my next big step (medicals booked in for early April). What visa did you go for? X
We're using this: http://www.sevenseasworldwide.com/moving/movecube seems pretty reasonable in price ....
  4. Hi Everyone,

Have never posted but am in the same boat as everyone. Just thought I would let you know, I applied on 27th May 2014 and got approved 8.30am today! Flights have been booked and I am leaving for Perth a week tomorrow! (Just in time for my nieces 1st birthday!)

Excited! Hope everyone gets the good news soon!

OMG, you're the same day as us. Fingers crossed we here something tofay. Thank you so much for posting and congrats- you've given me a glimmer of hope!

So exciting for you- have a safe flight and enjoy your neice's birthday. FYI it's absolutley BOILING over here. One of the hottest and longest summers I can remember.

  5. Hiya, is anyone having any problems signing in to their immiaccount? I put my username and password in and it says successful login with a screen with information on it when I then click next it comes up with a bright red fatal error message and says it cannot open the current page. So I can't actually see my application at the moment. Its been like this for a few days and Im starting to panic it will have cancelled my whole application! x

You've applied the same day as us! There are other May people! We applied through a migrant agent so I've never actually looked at my IMMI account. Have you got your C/O's email? We're only a week off so it might be a good excuse for a 'nudge'?

    :cute:

  6. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you! I managed to preserve my sanity up until the last month, and then it all went a bit refresh-happy!!!

We're heading to QLD - we haven't narrowed it down beyond descending on family and starting to job hunt, which is exciting in itself. Magical mystery tour! Will be so sad leaving home though :-(

    What about you folks?

Well I'm in Sydney and my Husband (bigboy01) is still in Kent. Waiting on approval. No kids for us yet though- very exciting news for you though!

    Happy Valentines everyone! :wink::hug::ssign20:

  7. Well the gentle nudge worked a treat and, 9 months to the day, my visa arrived. Me, OH and our newly brewing bundle will be heading for Oz in just a couple of weeks.

Thinking of everyone still waiting .... hang in there, and try not to wear out the refresh button on your browser ;-)

woo hoo! where abouts in aus are you guys headed? Hopefully its just another two weeks for us :)

  8. You can come to Australia on a tourist visa as long as you let your CO know your plans. The last visa granted cancels out previous visas so this is important. The last thing you want is to apply for a tourist visa, your 309/100 gets granted on say Thursday and your tourist visa on Friday. Your tourist visa would cancel out your 309/100 and you would have to start again. Also, you need to be out of the country for 3 working days for the computer systems to update with your 309/100 visa, so letting your CO know your plans so that you can coordinate this is a good idea.

OMG can you imagine if you did that not knowing! I didn't realise that was a technicality. that would be the WORST if you applied for a visitor visa before checking your email.

    nightmare material!

  9. Eeeeeeeeeeek! We applied 10th May so shouldn't be too long for us now :D

We're the 27th of May. I'm hoping they start to catch up and approve all the May's soon. Like they did before Christmas when they blitzed the March's and Aprils in 3 weeks.

Come on CO's I need to see my husband :)

These last few weeks are the worst, every day is slower at work when the time difference slows down (he's in London and I'm in Sydney). Every email or viber text is the one you think is going to be the approval.

We've missed our wedding anniversary, Christmas we'll miss valentines together and I'm hoping not his 30th birthday on the first week of March.

It's taking all self control not to email the CO and beg. :(
