Congrats Tony.I am so happy for you,and I just wish mine could be done this year. Btw are you carer 116?? What's your QD date?? All the best in AU.

  2. Hello everyone.

Hope you can shed me a light.

I applied for carer visa 116 offshore since 2011.

    Queue date 20 May2012

it is now more than 2 yrs and 2 months since QD, still don't have any update from the department.

The Immi website stated qd up to 31 march 2013 is now relesed. Called them last week, no news.

So frustrated as my mum health conditions getting worse. Anyone have an idea my actual waiting time? please help.

HI,carer116,have you got your visa yet?? The immigration said they are doing final processing for Carer is currently progressing for applications with a queue date up to 28 June 2012.

Could you please share your update please??

  3. you have applied Dec 2011, have you got a queue date? I have not revived a queue date by e mail, but why call us and get us to get medical etc done if we have had to wait so long and will probably need them done again? when they called they did mentioned that we had been released from the queue. But I don’t know if this is the same thing

Yes,I've got a queue date which is 13 Aug 2013. I've been asked to submitted my medical and documents etc.. in late 2012,and I do think I will be asked to do it again if they release me from the queue.

The queue date is in a letter or an email they sent to you. When did you apply?? Have you sent your documents such as why Australia hospital or nursing home couldn't help the care receiver??

  4. hello,

i logged my carers 116 application in sep 2012, i attended a interview in london jan 2013 and last April i was contacted and asked to provide police checks and attend my medical, which i did and forwarded all documents to my CO in london, to date the visa has not progressed further, does this mean i have passed the queue date stage for providing police checks etc? anytime i contact my CO, they state they can not tell me any further info until they receive news from australia, its the not knowing where we stand that is the worst? if we even knew where are in the queue. anyone with any experience in the 116 visa advise if i am remotely close to obtaining this visa? any advice very greatly appreciated.

    Tony

    Hi,Tony

I also applied my carer visa application on Dec 2011, have you received a queue date by email? if not, then it means you haven't passed the queue date stage.By the immigration website, it says releasing from queue date March 2013,so If you haven't got a queue date, according to them you may wait up to 4years.
