They want to know what you had for breakfast and your first born child too.  WA are extremely strict on category A documents.

I went to transfer my NSW license over with 2 passports (Australian and Irish) bank cards, utility bills, medicare card, lease, NSW license and it still wasn't enough.

If you are a citizen and were born in Australia, they want your birth cert, born overseas, they want your citizenship certificate.  I'm on my second Aussie passport (ie citizen 10 years +) and this is the only time I have been asked for my citizenship certificate (which I lost years ago) apart from my first Australian  passport.

Immigration and border control accept an Australian passport as proof of Australian citizenship but not the WA Department of Transport.

They have the list on their website, the Category A documents are the crucial ones, the others are fairly routine.

I think you must've seen someone who didn't know what they were doing!

You doubt anyone's lives in jeopardy? Are you waiting? Are you waiting offshore with all their problems? It is easy to say to you to wait unless you are in their desperate position you will start realising/understanding things.

Unfortunately the original quote is correct. I understand what you went through but your life is not in jeopardy. but it is extremely annoying and has your life on hold effectively.

I'm near enough in the same boat as yourself - my visa/nomination were both on 2nd April 2016.

Seems like you've won half the battle!! Fingers crossed. It seems like March is being processed for a rather long time! I'm just a month out from you.

    Visa applied 2nd April 2016

    LR 1 person

    Office Manager

No further information has been requested or anything yet.

Although I did sign a declaration at the time of the visa last year with regards to payment. I rmemeber at the time it being rather new so some MA's may not have come across it yet.

  5. Dont think about it too much. If its for you its for you. Just provide all information requested. Just did mine myself hopefully it would be enough.

I wasn't really worried, just providing some info to others backing up the difference between TRN and DE 187 visas.

  6. I think they are processing th transition stream first because thats the priority but slow on other like DE. My mate applied on last week June 2016 but got a result early Feb. Im waiting mine applied August 2016 on Transition stream.

Yup it looks that way. At my place two people received their PR Friday/Monday just gone and they're both on Transition from 457 and applied mid July 2016.

I've applied DE on 2nd April 2016 (LR, Onshore) and yet to hear or have any information requested.

  7. If you have an immi account you can import it to your account. You just need some details from your application and it will show you your application. This doesn't affect your application or your MA's control on the application. At least it allows you to see the status and if any documents have been requested etc.

  8. Hi Spleenus

I have been wondering the same thing but unfortunately myself and my partner are both LR and currently on our 8th month of waiting, so really, I think that the time in which the case is opened is the same with HR/LR however perhaps the processing time/further information required can vary between the two.

Yup I was wondering the same thing too. I'm just about to get to my 8th month of waiting and from a LR country. I'm a single applicant. It's just that I saw on the spreadsheet that there are some people from LR countries who are receiving their PR from the march/April period.

  9. I have a quick question. Is there a difference in processing time for coming from a HR to a LR country? lots of the people I've seen through this thread seem to be from HR countries, very little information on LR. For some reason I've been led to believe there is a slightly different processing time?
