Hi,

I'm about to have my skills assessed by ACS for Software Engineer - 261313.

I'll be sponsored by my relative who lives in Australia hence I have to go with 'Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489)'

I've got over 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer but most of the duties I performed are related to Databases (Database administration and Database Development).

I'm just wondering whether I can get through the assessment and it's highly appreciated if anyone can advice me on this.

Duties performed

• Deployment related activities such as deploying applications or modules in Weblogic server 11g.

• Testing, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults to maintain the quality of the application.

• Maintaining Job control, Shell Scripting using Unix commands/ utilities.

• Oracle database 11g administration (maintaining Users, database auditing, RMAN backup and maintaining database security).

• Database development (Writing PL/SQL codes to satisfy database requirements) using TOAD 10.5 version.
