  1. The problem with Inflixmab and the alternatives is that it is not the cost of the drug that is the issue.. it is the cost of having to infuse it intravenously. As in you need a nurse to put the drip in you and the whole process takes about 1-2 hours.  If you have to do this every 8 weeks, potentially for the rest of your life, the costs add up.
