At least you can try and relax for the next couple of weeks. But then you never know, you might be one of the lucky ones to get a super quick one
Whatever you do, don't start checking your emails in the middle of the night like I do. It's a really hard habit to break lol
:-) .
From your timeline it seems like you have not got any CO contact. Did you call DIBP? However, there are couples guys waiting with similar timline like yours but yours should be done. Almost three months. Guys from June 20th are getting their grants. Yeah, DIBP does not seem to have any pattern while it comes to processing the applications which is way sad.

Hi guys, I have been reading with keen interest and will share my story. So far Ive sent the application on May 25, they requested additional info and Medical on June 16, which I complied by June 20. And since then nothing. I have sent two e-mails inquiring about my application but all they say is that "is in validation". What do you think guys more than 3 months have passed. Should I call them?. Also I noted that in Next Steps > progress, two documents still appear with status "Required" while all other received , despite of having been provided since June 20.... Any insights / opinions would be helpful!! thank you!!
I think you have gone way more than 3 months already. I would have called them if I were you. Mine has been only little more than 2 months but have called DIBP twice. :-)

Thank you amitm,
great relief, as you said.....
i went on other forums in the meantime and I was advised to access my emedical client account, print the referral letter where there should be written when the medicals have been uploaded.... And it was like that! All the various tests (X-Ray, HIV etc) show up as completed now and where I did them...
Can't wait to hear something!!!
thanks again
shelly, I think it must be on the way already for you. Some other threads posts show that most of the early June, even some mid June, applicants have got the grant already. I hope the direct grant is just around the cornere for you. good luck and keepan sharp eye on yourm Mail box so youdo not miss the news wo any delay.

Hi Guys, Im an July 11th 190 lodger, but wanted to say, that DIAC sent an automated responce to me today saying they have adjusted a few things of my application.. nothing major, but they have or are looking it would seem:) only 4 weeks after lodgement. Again probs nothing, but I thought id share
I think they seem to be looking at your application.
You guys are nearer and dearer to DIBP than us, the 189 guys. :-)

I was certain that my medical would be referred because of the medical condition that I had. I did also( just for extra confirmation) send an email to health strategies a month after doing the medicals who confirmed that my wife's had been finalised, but mine was still waiting to be determined by the MOC.
Perhaps your medical hasn't been referred but I guess it really depends on what your condition is. Health strategies will be able to confirm.
For you I'm afraid it's only another waiting game (which is a killer). I had to wait three months for a decision, but from what I have heard the wait isn't as long now. Good luck!
Thanks stevie129. I hope they will respond to my query.

Ok @Adam Grey! Though I assume that there shouldn't be much delay after the MEDS/PCC Request and submission of the same? Once Health and Character concerns are OKAYed, and all documents submitted, what could be the reason for more delays?
The answer is NO one knows the answer but DIBP.
-
It is a state secret.
They sometimes answer emails.
Hoping so. I have sent an e-mail to MOC but I am not convinced by the people who received response. I see a very slim chance of getting response from them anytime soon or probably never. Things will be clear only after CO is allocated and that time is just at the end of the other side. Just a month and a half passed, and I see it as just a beginning of beginning, seriously.

Hello all, is there any phone number for MOC to make query about my medical status?
I found one on this forum and was said to be for HOC but anyway dialed in but it says no operator set yet for the phone. :-( I am not sure the difference between HOC and MOC.
-
Health strategies are responsible for processing the medicals, they are nothing to do with co. If a medical is referred, the MOC who is based at health strategies will assess the medical and give their opinion whether or not the applicant meets the health criteria. This information is then relayed to the co.
In my case, my medical was referred well before co allocation and cleared after co allocation. Referred medicals go into a queue until a MOC reviews them. The co has no involvement in this whatsoever.
Also, it's important to note that even if a referred medical has the organise health link being replaced with "no medical examination required.." it doesn't guarentee that the MOC has approved the medical.
Thanks for the input. One question, how did you know that yours was referred?
I have sent an e-mail to the MOC and let's see if they happen to come back with any update on my medical. Not sure if I happened to ask way too early as my medical was submitted just last week.

We phoned the 00611300364613 number late last night to try and find out how our application was going as we haven't heard anything since lodging on the 28th of April , turns out we were allocated to the Brisbane team on the 29th of May and the girl was able to tell us our preliminary assessment was almost complete ??? Hopefully not to much longer but the waiting is driving us mental , we may have a buyer for our house ( which isn't even on the market yet ) but can't do anything till we get that all important email saying yes . Good luck everyone
It is interesting that they allocate COs but do not inform the applicants. Is it killing game? If they inform us that someone is looking at our file then we would be relaxed a bit. That is something DIBP does not want. :-(
I will be phoning them when my application turns 3 months late next month.
-
Wow the waiting is finally over , VISA GRANTED !!!!!!!!!!!! we applied on the 28th April , did medicals and police checks 2 weeks later , heard nothing for friggin ages then email yesterday saying we had over claimed points and would we reduce the amount we were claiming , phoned Brisbane about midnight , girl explained our options we said yes to 60 points and BAM 10 minutes letter the golden email arrived
Congrats!! They say 3 months for processing and it seems like they kept their word. Not bad. :-)

My medicals were referred but my wife's weren't. Her link changed to "no health examination required..." soon after the medical. But my organise medicals link remained until the MOC had reviewed my medicals and was replaced with "no health examination required"
Thanks a lot for sharing. It seems like yours was referred before CO allocation. Was it cleared before CO allocation?

Hey,
Exciting times ahead!
There's already a thread going for us June applicants, have a look at this - http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/213889-189-visa-lodged-june-2014-a.html

Thanks for pointing to the parent thread. :-)
Let's keep an eye on that thread and update our progress.

Messages on your immi account are meaningless, no point trying to interpret them, best to just ignore them and wait for communication from your case officer which will be by email.
thnx Pumpkin. Some have said on various forums that medical referral is separately dealt by MOC regardless of CO allocation. Any info around this? Since I am worried that if it waits till CO comes in picture then referred it will be taking another couple months to clear my medical. If any experience around this please share.
-
Guys, I have a medical condition and I am done with my medical. My medicals should have referred but it shows "no health examination required for this applicant...." on my immi account. It is the same for my wife and she does not have any medical condition.
I thought the message meant that medical was cleared. I am sure for my wife it should be cleared but for me, it should not be the case.
If yours was referred and you could recall, would you please let me know what was the message there during referral and and clearance?
Thanks,
Really Nowhere.

Guys, starting the thread just to share our timelines so that we could refer each others' progress and estimate our grant date.
Mine lodged on 24 June 2014, No sign of CO yet. Just praying hard at the moment to get my medical cleared. :mask:
