  1. as per him he had launched the EOI 190 in the last week of December 2015,before 25th 2015.I guess it should also be invited as in that case my points were 65 now Details are as under:

    Code : 263312

    EOI 189 ~ 60 Points : Launch Date October/November,2015

    EOI 190 ~ 65 Points : Launch Date December,2015

I am asking for the further Verification...

revised EOI for 189 and 190 was submitted by 15/12/2015

  2. If I was you, I'd ask your agent to confirm he submitted the original 189 EOI as you originally posted, and that he created a second EOI for the 190 nomination. It's possible that if he simply added the 190 nomination to the existing EOI, it may have changed your date of effect to the date he made the change. I'm not completely sure how the EOI system works so perhaps someone else can comment. But if that's what happened, you would have gone to the back of the line on that date and may need another round or two before you get an invitation.

  3. Farry, there is definitely something wrong with your application or you are not on the 189 EOI.

There's no way that you should have not been invited already for a 189 visa. You need to contact your agent and ensure that your 189 EOI is still active and ask for proof.

You mentioned a few posts back that your agent has also submitted a 190 EOI, I wonder if he/she has made a mistake and cancelled your 189 when they submitted the 190.

Yes i am asking for updates and Proofs from him but still there is no answer...Is there any way that it can be checked from EOI Officials by name?? obviously i don't have credentials for the EOI Login etc...

  4. Farry,

60 point EOI's have been invited up to 14th December 2015. You're not pro rata so you should have been invited.

Have you edited your application? Are you sure that you have the required points? Are you definitely applying for 189 visa?

In fact i had applied through Agent..and as per Him i m not invited. he has also applied for 190 Visa...Now I am damn dishearten. Is there any way to check the Poll Information via Name as Agent had not provided me the Login Name etc....

  5. Thanks for posting the news.

I suspected something wasn't right with the announcement of only 700 and that they had actually bumped the invitations, because I kept hearing that practically every 60 pointer (non pro rata) that applied in the last month got invited.

Good news for all, although it didn't affect the points for the pro rata occupations. Let's see what happens on the next round.

:( i am still waiting applied for EOI since Nov,2015

  6. Nothing to worry about. The December invitation limit was reduced by around 400 invites, this was unexpected and as a result the 60 point applicants have suffered a delay. I would estimate that you should be invited by the next round provided the quota goes back up to normal levels.

As you said, i didn't get invitation... When will be the next round?? In January next year? I am afraid if they put the permanent cap on invitations :(

  7. Being assessed for immigration and having your qualifications recognised to work in Australia are two different things. Employers will always prefer a local engineer to an overseas one because they are not familiar with overseas qualifications. University standards vary around the world - how do they know whether a Filipino engineering degree is better or worse than an Australian one? They only have your word for it.

If you can get registered with Engineers Australia, that will give an employer confidence that you meet Australian standards.

Employers may say your overseas experience is not relevant - it's up to you to prove that it is. When you apply for a position, analyse the advertisement and list the requirements (qualifications, competencies) they are looking for. Then list each of them in your cover letter, giving an example of how your experience enables you to meet each requirement.

So your cover letter would start something like, "Dear ... , I wish to apply for the position of .... I feel my qualifications and experience are an excellent fit for this position, as follows: ...."

It may also help to attach written references from your employers in the Middle East and the Philippines to your application. If employers can read references which talk about how good you are, it will influence them (whereas they aren't likely to bother to make an overseas call to find out).

Your reply is really good and encouraging one.I am also worried about the same..Though i am still not landed to Australia .How to search Job?

My Degree is assessed by Engineer Australia but my Immigration process is not yet completed in short i am not Australian citizen now.Can i get registered with Engineers Australia ???

  8. I prefer Melbourne...moved here just under two weeks ago...loads of rentals available for all budgets n much more for your money than in Sydney..we used realestate.au..I had job lined up before I came but husband didn't n he found work after couple of days of looking n there was lots of skilled and unskilled jobs to choose from...look on indeed, seek or sometimes gumtree..depends what your looking for I guess...weather is weird compared to other parts of au...have had all sorts since we got here...if you leave the house dressed for the 30 degree weather it is I would take a warm coat too as it seems to change so quick but that could just be me..I've been cold a lot here

you are definitely lucky enough to secure job so early..i wish same for me :)

  9. thanks alot about the Insight..I myself would like to move in Melbourn due to cost factor..what about the society?? can anyone share the rental situation/experiences for Melbourne? for now only two things are haunting me:

    1- Job(How i will search Job)

2-Residence (How and from Where i will get information regarding Residence)

  10. Hi ,

I get to know that which of the city is most affordable? Sydney or Australia. Can nay one guide about the life style, residence,Job availability and other treats of the both Cities?

Well i have heard that Sydney is more costly as compared to Melbourne but more populated and have high availability of Jobs...

  11. May be this would not be a proper forum to ask this question but i am hopeful that i can get my answer here..My agent had applied for EOI on 3rd of November,2015 for the following Skill set

    1-263312

    2-Telecommunication Network Engineer

    3-60 point

4- Date of submission of the EOI - 03/11/2015

Now i am still waiting for the invitation and it is suspected that there will be delay as my current Points are 60=> on bottom line.

Can i apply For 190 EOI in parallel with 189?? and as my agent has taken the case so is there any fee to apply for EOI???

  12. Hi all,

My 189 was granted yesterday and I just wanted to thank you Captain for helping out so many of us.

Just for information I lodged my EOI the 16/09/2015, was invited the 23/11/2015, lodged my 189 application the same day and received my grant notice the 10/12/2015 !

    Good luck everyone !

Congratulations.. & you are so lucky

  13. I would imagine that the invitation numbers will be back up again after the new year. There is a large backlog of visa applications at present and I suspect that a decision has been made to start to reduce the number of invites to allow those applications to be processed so as not to delay them any further.

The next round is the 18th December.

I am so sad, a quick immigration process can save me...

  14. As @Rija11 kindly pointed out in an earlier post, there are only 700 invitations per round, a loss of 450 invites from previous rounds, which will significantly affect the rounds, especially for those with 60 points.

I suspect that those who are more than one round away from invitations will have to wait another 2 rounds extra before being invited.

Thanks for the information. That's really sad... I have 60 points. Did anyone knows about the reason for the loss of invitations?? And when will be the next round?
