Hi Everyone,

I'm new member of this forum.and i have applied for skilled assessment under software engineer category,and i'm not claiming any points for my experience as my total exp is 3.4(2.4 in one company and 1 year in current comp).But now the problem is my current company has changed the name recently, and i have given the old company name ,so my question is would it be any effect on my skill assessment and if i get +ve skill assessment then would it be any impact on after skill assessment process means while applying of visa application.please suggest me on this..Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I have total experience is 3.6 years as Database developer (who create the database design) and Business Intelligence(Data warehousing) developer and i want to apply for 189/190 visa and want to know that i will fall in which category means either software engineer( 261313) or developer programmer(261312) or either database administrator(262111) or some other job code.

I checked it but couldn't be able to identify.

It would be really appreciate if anyone can guide me for the same.Thanks in advance.

What level qualification do you have in IT? With 3.5 years experience you would need to be qualified at degree standard which would put you in group A with ACS. Did you get your experience before or after gaining your qualification? 3 years experience will get you 5 pts yes.

Thanks ozmaniac..but i think my question was little bit different,actually i wanted to ask if initially i apply for 189 and in some worst case if i dont get 5 points for my work expereince (3-5 year expeience 5 points),so my total points will be 55 , in this case 189 will not be eligible for me, so in that case shall i apply for 190 category for getting 5 points under state sponsarship.Please reply on this..Thanks in advance..

Hi Ozmaniac thanks for info.so is it possible initially if i apply for 189 visa and don't get 5 points from ACS,so on that time can i switch my visa application from 189 to 190 category for getting 5 points from the state sponsorship ? is it possible or not? Thanks in advance.

hi i also want to apply for skilled independent visa,but i am confused which category should i have to apply either 189 or 190.some of agents are saying 190 is good and some of them are sayig 189 is good.please guide me for the same.i have 3.4 years of experience in IT indusrty as software engineer.
