  1. BREAKING NEWS :)

Nomination just been approved!!!!! woooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooo. Case Officer just called and requested medicals and then it'll be granted!!!!

    Stats:-

ENS Transition Scheme - Not decision ready and didn't use an agent

Lodged nomination and application - 6 November 2013 (no medicals)

    Lodged at Paramatta

Nomination approval: 28 February (Melbourne office)

Medicals requested: 28 February (CO was lovely - based in Melbourne - she said it doesn't matter where you lodge now they are all getting shared out via Mel/Perth etc.

    HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

  2. Having just read a couple of posts, does that mean once case officer requests medical, everything else will be okay? My case officer has requested medical but nothing else

Hi Tracey, i'd say so yeh. It's the last thing they look at and they wouldn't request it if everything else wasn't acceptable :)

  3. Hi Guys

How long does it take to process the application once I've done the medical exam?

I was told by the doctor that it takes 2 weeks to get the medical exam result. Does it mean that CO will review the case after that?

    Thanks

    Hey Channel

The results are sent electronically and as soon as received as long as all ok with them id say your CO will just grant your application immediately. I don't think they can make a decision without it. I don't think it'll take as long as two weeks tho! Fingers crossed for you. You've given me some hope tonight as an October applicant! Thought I was starting to be the only start of November applicant left! Good luck :)

  4. thanks, Haley. a bunch of people who applied later than I did were approved last week, so i really have no idea if DR means anything. but here is the news about DIBP ending DR applications, note there's another email from DIBP in the comments here:

I was obviously looking in the wrong place! Thanks for that :).

I'm soon going to be the one applicant left who applied in November :(.

  5. ah! just heard from my MA that my nomination was approved today! some deets for CDR's stats:

Nomination & visa application submitted, DR at parramatta on 18 Nov 2013

Nomination approved on 25 Feb 2014

    99 days (14.14 weeks)

    come on visa application...

Congrats! Thats awesome, I take that to mean that they are dealing with DR applications still with priority. I can't find any commentary to say that the DR scheme has been scapped although everyone is talking about it

  6. peace your mind

maybe the DIBP get all your informaitons

btw, which office did you lodge your application?

Hey swimming - lodged at parramatta. Hopefully they have everything and will just grant it! I'm so nervous waiting. I've got mine and my employers login for the ImmiAccount thing and both just say in progress. boooooooooo. Hurry up I want to buy a house and makes babies hahaha

  7. Is it technically correct that DR applications are considered first? I lodged my 186 non-dr on 6 November and my friend lodged on 8 November for same visa but DR, they had a request for missing information last week (which is a good sign as at least it's being looked at!).

    I haven't heard a thing. This normal??

  8. Hi Guys,

thought of sharing my timeline with you.

ENS 186 Temp transition Non MA, Non DRC

    Nomination lodged - 24 Oct 2013

    Visa lodged - 9 Nov 2013

    Nomination approved - 12 Feb 2014

Case Officer called up this morning and requested for medicals.

Hey Agnivac thats great news. Which office dealt with your application?

  9. True. I didn't consider that and paid for everything upfront.

I guess you have reason to be cautious. Remember the C.O gives you 30 days to respond to the request (this doesn't mean 30 days to submit the required documents... just 30 days to respond and/or evidence progress on the request or ask for an extension).

Has your company recently had any ENS approved?

    Hey :)

No my company hasn't - We are a very small operation and I am the only sponsored worker everyone else is Australian. I think I might apply for my UK clearance as that takes a good few weeks anyway and it's not that much money (from memory). The CO I had for my 856 said that I would still be able to use my last police clearance - even tho its over a year old - but only if i hadn't been back to the UK since then....which unfortunately I have. My partner can still use his previous police clearance tho which is a bonus.

I think i'll wait until I receive a request from the CO for the medicals. OR hope and pray that they'll accept the last ones we did (June 2012).

    Thanks Bonza :)

  10. Hey Bonza..Thanks for your reply.

Employer has now provided BAS statements for the last year and they've been uploaded. Thanks for your help on that!

I am a bit cautious about paying for medicals and police checks (Aus and UK) just in case for ANY reason my nomination/application runs into difficulties. It shouldn't as its fairly straight forward with no complicating factors (so i believe!). Only reason for my caution is that I had previously applied for an 856 visa in 2012 (and paid for medicals/police clearances everything) and then my nomination got refused (Issues with MA...long story) and I had to withdraw my application.

So I don't want to end up in the same situation again where I have paid for them and they then expire...again!

I suppose it will speed things up if I submit everything that is required.....decisions decisions. What do you think??

  11. Another question...can't you all tell I'm new hehe.

Only lodged yesterday and I've just been online to submit some further documents and it gave me access to the "organise your medical examination link". So i've printed the forms.

My question is - should I go ahead and book my medicals in now and submit then or should I wait for the CO to ask for them?

    Thanks :)

  12. Hi Bonza - congrats on your grant that's so quick!

I only lodged my nomination and application yesterday. In your timeline you say that your employer lodged their BAS statement. BAS wasn't listed in the checklists as needing to be lodged. Do you think I should lodge it anyway? If so how many statements did your employer lodge?

    Thanks :)

  13. Hi all

    I am new 186 lady :)

    Timeline so far...

    Nomination lodged 6 November 2013

    Application lodged 7 November 2013

Not lodged Police or medicals yet...will wait to be asked I think!

Everyone is talking about which office they lodged their applications. Maybe I was a bit silly but I didn't see it on the online form...or does it get decided from your location? I am in Brisbane. I have no Migration Agent.

    Thanks :)
