  1. I intend to emigrate next year and have my visa. I would like some advice about whether to have my pension paid into an Australian bank or to just leave it in my British bank and draw from it there. Are there tax complications to either way.

thank you very much for taking the time to read this, and thank you in advance to those that reply.

  2. As a nurse the skilled visa route should be quite straight forwards, it also means you are not tied to an area or employer once you arrive.

My son was 8 when we moved ,he is now 15 and settled in well. Life can be good, but its darn hard for quite a while once youve stepped off that plane, i sure had my share of tears and tantrums, lol but looking back i wouldnt change a thing.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and thank you for

Your advice about the route to take and Its good to hear that after the inevitable tears and tantrums it's worth it.

  3. My advice would be to consider the school ages carefully by the time you come round to it. Also sponsorship doesn't sound like a good idea if you want to migrate, sponsorship is generally a temporary visa. For a family that wants to migrate, the skilled migrant path is better.

thank you very much for taking the time to write a reply. It sounds like we should look into the skilled migrant path. Thank you again for your kindness

  4. Have you got a visa?

Not yet, my wife is confident she can get one but can't decide a) how and when to go about it or b) whether to get sponsored. I'm sure we will need to decide soon as I guess the process will take a long time so any advice we can gleam from your good self would be gratefully appreciated

  5. First off thanks for reading this, I have never used anything like this before so I am grateful for your interest.

my dream is to emigrate with my family in2017(there is me,my wife and 2 daughters who will be 10 and 8.

I will have retired at the age of 48 and my wife who is a nurse under 45 is hoping to get work.we want to settle in Adelaide or Melbourne where we have family.

We came over for a holiday recently but would love to chat to people who can give us ideas of where to settle to and indeed if the dream can become a reality.

once again thanks again for taking the time to read this and if you can help more thanks.
