Me and my Husband are planning on moving to Australia in the next few months. I have just been granted my spouse visa after applying last year. My Husband already has residency. We are coming over with our baby boy who is currently 5 months but will be about 10 months when we do. We are looking at going to the Coomera ,Helensvale, hope island part of the Gold Coast and was wondering if anyone has any experience at all with renting around there. I alos have loads of questions such as can I bring my buggy etc and brand of baby milk nappies etc. Also does anyone have any experience with baby groups / things to do with new mums. Thank you any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi guys,we are moving to OZ on Thursday and arranged our banking with ANZ.We had a phone call from TorFX and would like to exchange our money before moving it on to ANZ.

The question I have is,has anyone had any dealings with TorFX?

Are there rates better than moneycorp?

From what I have seen on the net TorFX seem to be better.

does anyone know of anywhere in australia that offers sponsorship for social workers from the UK? a couple of years ago there appeared to be lot's of companies offering sponsorship however now i cannot find any!

hi,

we got state sponsorship from queensland in nov 2013 based on partners SW qualification. You need to check each OZ states shortage lists for your occupation. If its on there and you meet rest of criteria stated on the list it should be positive. Queensland were asking for three years post qual experience as their criteria at the time whereas other states wanted five years. we got a permanent visa with the only restriction that we stay in queensland for min 2 years.

can anyone share how much luggage allowance they had with airlines. ie: do they allow more if its one way travel, is it negotiable when booking. One suitcase doesnt seem alot to take enough to keep you going until container arrives..

Good weekend planned with a few tinies (need to start using the jargon!!) and Aussie wine!!

we have also been granted our visa letter,started the whole process in April of this year.

we have:shocked::shocked: been granted a 190 skilled visa.we are going to queensland-Brisbane,goldcoast or sunshine coast not sure yet,will try and secure work first.

Hope to go around jan/feb time,house is already sold,just need to sort dogs out.

i uploaded all docs in august and just been allocated a C/O. Next to my skills assessment it now says TRIM and C/O has asked me to forward skills assessment to her even though its been uploaded. Does anyone know what TRIM means.
