Visa granted! I recieved the good news two weeks ago and have already got all my things sent off to a shipping agent!

Thanks to everyone who helped with advice and information, it was really helpful. We are going to get married next March, so are only half way through the process, bu the main obstacles have been cleared. Someone said that I may not even be interviewed, given my details/hstory/etc, and I wasn't. But then we did have five years worth of evidence to support our case.

I will be in Melbourne in less than two weeks, as I arrive at 17:50 on the 6th. I can't wait!

Next question... Healthcare - what do people advise about getting this? I suppose I'm looking for a good private medical insurance provider, or is Australian medicare enough? I'm pretty fit and healthy as I cycle a lot but I'm also 59, so no spring chicken.
