Hiya, I applied to the London office (not on-line) for a Spouse visa and yes I got a 100 which is great! I've been married to an Aussie for 10 years and we have 2 children together so that may have swayed their decision...
We're off to Melbourne at the end of October - it's scary now that it's really happening!
Similar story here. Me and my partner have been together for 16 years - 15 of those in the UK. I think our delay was because our case officer was on leave for a few weeks and hadn't put our application in to action for a grant before they left. Doesn't matter though, at least we have it now!

[QUOT E=helenmooshap;1936607598]Hi everyone
I haven't posted before but have been reading this thread since I applied for my partner visa in January.
I received my visa on Tuesday so it took 8 months and 3 days! I e-mailed my case officer on Tuesday morning and received an out of office reply saying that he was on leave until the end of the month so I e-mailed the familymigration e-mail address and got my "grant" e-mail back within a couple of hours! I'm so glad I didn't wait until my case officer returned from leave.
Good luck to everyone who is waiting.
Cheers, Helen
That's what we should have done!! Congratulations!

mine was listed on the third page of the grant letter, under "grant details" - or you could log into VEVO and check there instead (or just ask your CO).
In that case, we got the 100. Yay!!

Ecstatic is the word. I was beginning to get worried. Not sure what class we got. It says 309 on one page and 100 on the other.

Visa granted! Nine months and 11 days. Can't begin to tell you how relieved we are!
-
Nice one congrats ! Escapeplan your turn next ! !
Let's hope so. If we haven't heard anything by the end of the week I'm complaining. At least our house sale will complete at the end of the month, and we secured a rental property on the sunny Central Coast today, so not all bad.
Congratulations to to the lucky ones

What a shame crazy really - whos your CO?

Well, no joy there. Apparently it is being 'finalised' and will be granted very shortly - some time in the next month. FFS!

Not yet. Hubby is going to call them shortly. So frustrating!
-
Oh come on already! Visa please. It is 9 months tomorrow.

Congratulations Wozziegirl and TheTipper! What a relief! Hope all goes well for the two of you.
just a quick question to those who have applied for subclass 300. When submitting your application you are required to prove that you have organised the wedding ceremony and provide proof.Which I've done, however the ceremony was supposed to happen on 23 of august. I naively thought we might get the grant, within the 6 months. Unfortunately, was not the case. So my question is should i call my CO and ask whether or not i need to book another date and provide proof. The wait is starting to have a negative effect on my mental state
You must have the same CO as me and my better half. The day our CO is back from leave is the 9 month mark for us!
-
Might run into you two on the Central Coast! You'll be glad to know that the first day of spring was a sunny 24 degrees.
-
That's where I am. Just waiting for hubby to get his visa and our house sale to go through so he can join me.
-
That's fantastic Wozziegirl! Congratulations! Where are you moving to? Do you mind me asking who your case officer is?

Welcome to the waiting game cch! We're at 8 months and 25 days of our quoted 8-9 month processing time. So, so close, but until we get that email with the grant we'll still worry that something is going to go wrong!
Maybe today will be our lucky day....
8 months and 25 days for us too. Really hoping that it is granted next week!
-
8 months and 16 days! I wonder if today will be THE day? :-)
@TheEscapePlan - have you heard anything yet?
Update: we emailed our CO - LG who we found out is on leave until 4 September. That will bring us to exactly 9 months. Boo!

Hi guys,
I realise I have hardly been actively involved with this thread as of late but I just wanted to go on record as saying thank you to everyone who is involved with it because it has been a massive help and aid to me during my time waiting for the visa and imagining every case scenario under the sun where I don't get it - So it's been great to see the positivity that is often found here.
But as the gods would have it, it has finally been granted and I am on my way come the end of the month. My application was recevied 3rd December and was granted 11th August so around the 8 months and a bit mark.
Again thank you to everyone taking their time to answer questions and help where possible and the best of luck to everyone who is currently going through the process.
Jason.
Fab news! Congrats. Ours was received 5 December so hopefully the grant will come through any day now! All the best for your new life down under.

That's fab news! Congratulations! We are at 8 months and 6 days. Fingers crossed!

Nope no visa granted and I keep wondering the same thing as it appears to have gone quiet on here lately we are at 8 months 2 weeks and 5 days (not that we are counting or anything!) I am guessing the extension of time for processing new applications means they are quite busy so we dont expect the visa until 9 months (even though we would much prefer - and need - it now).
I really hope it isn't 9 months!
-
Any visas granted recently? We are at 8 months and 1 day.... Oh the waiting is excruciating!

The reason why many Aussies use gas plate barbecues is because of total fire bans. You can use gas bbqs on those days, but you can't use a Weber.
