That sounds very stressful ........Have you tried calling the visa immigration case officer dealing with your application? Then maybe you can make a better decision and know where you stand and whether to have the baby in the UK.

When should I apply for Citizenship?

I Have been a PR since 01/07/2014 and I am the primary visa holder. I Arrived in Australia on 30/09/2014 but my partner arrived on the 15/11/2014. Do I have to wait until the 15/11/2018 or can I apply on the 30/09/2018.

glad to see everyone here making progress.

We have rented out our houses and moved in with my parents, I have secured a job and had 3 telephone interviews. Waiting on a start date now. I have three months notice at work so slammed in a load of swaps and looking to get away end of September.

Going to Brisbane then possibly renting on the Gold Coast.

Our dogs and my girlfriend are flying out to meet me the end of November.

Things have moved so fast since the visa has been granted.

A tip tip for getting interviews is maybe using a friends address then explain your situation if you get an interview scheduled.

We lodged on 22nd December so we were beginning to think our application had got lost in the backlog! Very excited, lots to think about! Good luck to everyone waiting, it will happen!

Time for me to live my life again, no more waiting for contact or the golden email. Its all in the past and I am now planning my new life in OZ.

Hi everyone just a quick question, when uploading documents for visa application did anyone else find it repetitive, I.e do I upload passport twice, one for travel document and one for exemption of English language skills?????? Or will they just use the one for al relevant, I'm probably not making sense lol I've been at this computer for what feels like forever and it wasn't such a quick question after all x

I don't think so it's just pot luck I think they must just pick one out of the pile at random !! Hopefully July will improve things !

Froggles, that's my guess too. The original case officer either didn't know or didn't spot it.

 

After refusal, the original CO asked him to resubmit and send him the TRN directly. The CO then got the case assigned to him and it was approved straight away (within a couple of weeks of submission). Another $3.5k though and the experience of a rejection letter.

Im glad to hear that it was all successful in the end !!

That's crazy that wasn't picked up from the start and the wait was so long ! So they probably get checked by a few different people before a grant is issued !
