I got my first australian visa, which was student visa on March, 18 2009. And got my PR on 04 Oct 2013

WOOOHOOO!!!! So today is the day for me and my husband to finally get the "YES" we've been waiting for!!

It's been a very very long road for us, and I (like Blossom) bear the scars from coming over on a Student Visa.

It's not an easy route, it's hard, stressful and very disappointing at times. I had a couple of months left on my course when Immi changed the list and my study area was removed. I couldn't get a full time job where we lived (regional Queensland) never mind Regional Sponsorship. Whilst waiting for our Graduate Visa my hubby got a job offer in Melbourne with a view to sponsorship after a year. It never happened so we started looking elsewhere and a job for him came up in Perth and we stipulated that we wouldn't move unless sponsorship was on offer. Anyway that's the short of it - 3 states - 4 and a half years - and more money than you can imagine.....but we are finally allowed to call this home and not a place where we are just visiting... my timeline is below....keep the faith everyone!

PR GRANTED TODAY...

A lot of dramas....in November 2012, My 485 visa been deemed as invalid and I must left Australia within 28 days, unless I apply for another eligible visa, fortunately, my employer didn't want me to go home. So They decided to sponsor me ( They never did it before, because it is a Internal Government agency). After applied 187 and acknowledge as valid visa, I went home just 10 days after i apply this visa, and another big Drama when I was in Darwin Airport, The airport immigration said that I didn't have any valid visa, nor the bridging visa and I even have been stay unlawful for 5 days in Australia. And I must depart Australia straight away.

How frustrated I was. My employer was so shock as well. How come be like that. Before, i went home, I went to immigration office and ask the officer about it, and the officer said that i have bridging B Visa so, I can go to my country. After 5 weeks, my lawyer tried to short it off and I came back to Australia with TOURIST VISA ( just to bring me back). and then the department granted me bridging C once i am in Australia, Waiting for about 8 months, And Today my visa is Granted.

Why you didin't apply 187 visa offshore? Did your 485 been rejected or just invalid? If invalid, you can still apply it onshore like me. However, if it was been rejected, yes, you don't have other choice but apply it offshore.

Hi Blossom it's a long story. Making it short....I completed my Masters there in OZ, while waiting for a 485 decision I got a fulltime job where I was offered sponsorship too. Before they apply for RSMS, a decision was made on my 485 which was negative. I had only 21 days to go for MRT or 28 days to depart. My RSMS visa was lodged without going for MRT, So the application turned out to be an invalid one. I had neither bridging visa nor 28 days time. I came back home, my company lodged 187 again while i am offshore. That's how I don't have job now.

You can do what Savanah did. Because it is not visa refusing. Hope everything is fine. Most MA is useless. They just want to take money from us without any responsibility about our visa. It is no fair at all. We don't have protection, everyone including immigration officer and MA treat us inhumanity. i am still in worry condition, waiting for my decision.

Hi blossom how r u three months before I got CO till date no news not even any extra document.. yesterday I called DIAC they told me your nomination is not prove yet so we can't tell you only your MA or business employer contact us about nomination my MA already send mail couple of time but no news . what can I do now is there any positive effect if my employe call again to DIAC or I have to wait .. already 14 and half months . I also got CO 3 months ago..sent last document which was my updated contract ( my previous contract was expired, less than 2 years by that time) 2 months ago..no news at all. I have rare conversation with my Lawyer, because when I asked about it, he just said, still waiting, your visa is in progress. I use famous lawyer, i paid $ 5,500 just for the lawyer, I have been sponsored by big company, State Gov Agency with more than 350 employees, but not helpful at all.

Did you mean you lodged your visa 21st June 2013? My visa is approved. I was only lucky that the CO who advised me to withdraw my first application considered processing my 2nd visa application when I sent her an email. If not, my new application would be placed at the bottom of the pile and wait six months before I can start following up my application. I've been on a 457visa for the past three years and it might had helped expedite the process verifying documents.

For my case, I sent all documents required by DIAC on June 20..so our timeline is quite the same. Still heard nothing from DIAC. So frustating

I got case officer on 10th June and

at 11am and 11.15 am he request me some docs need to resend.

 

i send all docs on 12th June till today no response.

I am wondering he took only 15min to chk my file and after that

It's almost 20 days no response.

It's a possibility that the nomination has been approved and the status hasn't been updated and you haven't been informed. Often the case officer that assesses the nomination is the same case officer that assess the visa application. Are you certain that the documents they have requested are related to the visa application and not the nomination? Either way, the fact that they are requesting further documentation is a good sign, as it tells you that they are actively working on your case. The nomination does have to be approved before the consider the visa application. Good luck!

in may case, Co asked me for my employer nomination documents in the same time with my visa documents requirement. It not necessary if your nomination have been approved or not, but once you apply for visa, the immigration will ask you to fulfill all documents requirement.

No one know about what is going on..I applied through famous lawyer. I have been sponsored by NT Government Agency. But..It is not as quick as i expect. My last document required by CO ( my updated contract) has sent on June 20. Heard nothing from my lawyer up to date

hi everyone I am new to this forum. I would like to share that I have been asked to provide Form 80, form 1221, police clearance and health assessment but on the other hand side my nomination has not been approved yet and my case officer has asked to my employer to provide some documents on the same day when I received an email. I am just confused why would they ask for health assessment and other documents when I don't have approved nomination and my case officer has given 28 days to my employer to submit business documents. has anyone faced the similar situation?

It would because you applied nomination and your visa in the same time. Once you apply visa, the immigration will asking you some documents such as health record and police clearance regardless your employer nomination has been approved or not.

even though I have done also 1 and 1/2 yr diploma. So I also need ilets test

 

bcaz one of my friend apply 119 rsms

case officer ask ilets bcaz he study 1 and 1/2 yr to fil 2 yr gap ca ask ilets

All 187 or 119 (previous visa) applicant need ilets 6 in each band. Doesn't matter how long you been studying.

Hard to say..I applied 187 visa through Melbourne too. Apply Visa, RCB and nomination together in Dec 2012.my RCB was approved on Jan, 3 2013.Got CO last month. but the CO ask me the same documents that I have been sent in Dec 12, unless my contract. Since June 2013, my old contract was less than 2 years, so we need to renew the contract. My lawyer have sent it 2 or 3 days ago..so..yead..depend on the situation too.

Dear all, It is the expression of happiness. Granted PR today. My timeline is 187 and Employer nomination applied on 26 Feb 2013, CO signed on 17 June 2013 and pr granted today. Hello devendra as per my MA it means evidence of other Australian citizen or permanent resident employment conditions who is working on same position for what you are being sponsored coz I ask her when I was uploading my documents hope it helps . cheers

Yes..I think if you want to check your status online, you must ask your password to your agent. I also doesn't know my password. I never check my status. All of my corresponding and information from DIAC is through my lawyer
