Nomination for 187 approved since november 2013 and its been since 9 months since application made. No my company has decided to got franchise and is my store to be first. gona happen in 3 months. what will happen to my visa? or application?
Before my visa was granted, my sponsors leased out part of the business that I was working in, the new management decided to honor the sponsorship as it was already in the process, and they did not have to do a thing. However, once my visa was granted I was released from my contract by the new management, as my job role was no longer needed. I contacted immigration who told me unless a complaint is made against me, my case with them was closed. However, I have stayed in the same area, and have also remained in the same job role with another company for my own piece of mind, (I was also advised to show in-case any complaint was made against me to show that I have made all efforts to comply with the RSMS guidelines). My advice if your visa is not granted by the takeover is to
ask them to honor your sponsorship.

Yes, I have 15 yrs experience as a pastry chef, however, it was easier and cheaper for me just to do a AQF in commercial cookery, rather then
pastry. As I said before, I mainly did to have a qualification which is recognizable to Australian employers.
I was not given any notification of a case officer, and nor did I show 2 yrs experience, as I only got my AQF in Nov 2012.
Sorry I can't be of anymore help then this.

Thanks!:cute:
I became Australian Qualified via RPL. I had to do a 3 day practical in Melbourne, then a load of paper work, then I was awarded a AQF.
I did it to become more recognized by Australian employers.
In regards to the 2 year thing, what is it referring to? Is it showing 2 years work experience post qualification?

Hi Carine, My MA told me last week that they are starting to process June RSMS applications in Perth that she has submitted.
I'm not expecting to hear anything until at least February now!

Hi,
Just a quick question. Has any moved sponsors during their 2 years sponsorship period? I am aware that any new employer would have to be
approved sponsors also. But would I have to go through the whole process of applying for the visa again, paying fee's etc?

Hi Tyler Shao,
Yes I have applied for the via subclass 187. My application was DRC and was lodged on the 14th of August 2013. My partner and I have been together for 7 years and he has received 2 defacto under my visa during the 4 years we have been in Australia. I am really wondering why is taking so long. Have you applied alone or defacto?
Hi Carine, I am not far after you, applied Perth office 24th August DRC. Was not aware that it may take longer to process if you have others attached to your application. I have a family of 4 attached to mine, so I could really be in for a long wait!

which immi department did u lodged ur application??Melbourne? i lodged @30 August.just the day before the fees increase!!
We lodged application at Perth, DRC, have heard nothing yet, guess we are just in a long queue!

We were caught with the July fee increases, so I feel your pain! 187 visa lodged 24th August!

Thanks for all the info SonicBlue82!
My sponsor is ready to proceed with their side of things so will it be lodged before my application now anyway.
Sorry to ask another question, but did you have to apply to have a work permit attached to your bridging visa or
was it automatically granted with it?
-
No, we can submit our applications at the same time, or they can submit theirs first. I cannot submit my application without my sponsors going in at the same time or before mine. Make sense?
My (hopefully) sponsors are concerned that they need to be approved sponsors before I will be granted a bridging visa, but again I cannot see
anything on the immigration website that suggests this, just that I need to have my application submitted to be granted a bridging visa.

I think they are being over cautious and don't want me to end up in limbo. I haven't read anywhere on the immigration website
that they need to approved sponsors for me to be granted a bridging visa, I just have to have made a visa application.
Thanks for the quick reply!

Hello Everyone,
I am going to submit my application for RSMS 187 visa in a couple of weeks along with my sponsors nomination.
My sponsor is quite concerned as we will be applying whilst I am in Australia, and they are worried that I will not be
granted a bridging visa, once my other visa expires, before their nomination to be sponsors is approved.
Has anyone else also been in this situation where both applications are submitted at the same time whilst in Australia
that can please offer advice, its really starting to worry me know!

The bridging visa will only kick in once the tourist visa expires. Your Husband should be granted a work permit with his bridging visa,
but again this will only be valid once the tourist visa expires. Your husband won't have work rights for the 12 weeks that the tourist visa is valid for. Applying for a permanent visa, will not cancel out the tourist visa he will arrive on.
