  1. Guys;

I am silent reader of this forum, specially this thread, I have got much information through this forum, please see below my timeline

    Applicant: Male

    AHC: Islamabad

    Applied Subclass 309: 15-01-2014

    CO Assigned, Medical Request: 17-01-2014

    Medical Done: 30-01-2014

Phone Interview of Applicant, Sponsor and Form 888 signee: 30-06-2014

Additional Documents sent as requested: 16-07-2014

    Visa Grant: 01-08-2014 Alhamdolillah

Total time: 6 months 15 days

Polio vaccination and obtained certificate then traveled label free, Alhamdolillah now in Australia...!

Guys I would suggest you that patience is the best thing in your lodged application and your paper work should be completed & accurate as required, avoid asking AHC again and again about visa grant as they don't know about visa grant decision as its always taken by Senior Immigration Officer not by the CO which had been assigned to you. Good luck all of you...!

Congratulations mate, never heard a male applicant getting their visa approval so quickly. Good job mate.

Yes you are right. Proper and organized file always pierce the queue.

Mate, a question for you As my wife and ALHAMRA, recently received the Polio vaccination certificate request and since you got your visa recently, could you please tell us if you were asked for it and how long after it you got the grant.

Once again mate well done. Weather is bit crap in Melbourne(if you are in Melbourne) but hang in there A beautiful spring awaits us.

    Thanks mate.

    Regards,

    Abel.

  2. Hi, I applied way back in February n I got my co in may. I am glad you guys didnt have to wait as long as we did for about 4 months. I have recently applied for a tourist visa, will be able to hear about it soon whether they grant me or not. But the catch is that if I go on visit n I get my partner granted in between I will have to exit Australia and nobody knows how long after i exit are they gonna take to grant. So im unclear whether or not can I exit to nearby New Zealand or someplace n come back in a few days after grant. However I emailed AHC like a month back to which they specifically said that hoping to get the visa in the next 2 months is not plausible. So what I take they mean by this is that the whole story is going to go till october november. Which is kind of upsetting :/. We applied online so we uploaded most of the documents in one go however we keep updating almost every month. Nobody really knows how it works in AHC.

Hmm... I hear you. Asking for Polio Certificate is a major indication towards our grant. So i would say live in the current situation. May be in 2 weeks/1 month time you will hear the good news. Situation in Islamabad is not very good due to the protests, resulting in embassy shut down. I applied for my Wife's visitor visa 6 weeks ago and have not heard a thing about it.

From what i have heard, getting visa of New Zealand / Indonesia from Australia is a piece of cake. So even if you have to go to NZ it wont be a big deal. Hey you can see NZ this way lol ... But as you are closing in your Grant, they wont even look at your visit visa file application and will grant you the Spouse visa. Just wait few more weeks and sail in the current time. You will do fine.

    Thanks

  3. Hi guys,

Have any of you recently received any correspondence from AHC? We received the requirement for polio vaccinations a week back. Anybody else got the same request. Following is our visa timeline.

    Applied: 02.02.2014

    CO assigned: 20.05.2015

    Biometric requirment.

    Furthur requirment: polio vaccination 27.08.2014.

    G'day Alhamra,

Yes my wife received the request for Polio Certificate as well on 26th of August, We sent them the certificate within 24 hours.

Now, few of my friends were given Visit Visa recently and they told me Polio Certificate was the last requirement that was asked for before the grant.

Seems like yours and ours case is closing in for grant. I wonder how their system actually works...

Btw, 3 months since we have applied for my wife's spouse visa. All the documents were front loaded.

Alhamra, please keep us in the loop.

    Thanks,

    Abel

  4. Guys, hope everyone's hanging there just alright. Can someone please tell me how particular are case officers when they tell you that you will give you the grant in xyz time.

A friend of mine, who has applied for his wife's spouse visa before me was told on last Friday that she will be given Visa grant on Tuesday but nothing has been heard yet. He applied in early May. I would just like to know for him and for my own knowledge if they deliver what they promise or he will have to expect a long delay. Have a good weekend guys. Thanks, Abel.

  5. G'day AGB, I have a question to ask you if you can take sometime out and reply, that'll be awesome. Thanks.

As you are aware, the Embassy folks are back at work today and i sent them my 2 references ( form 888 ) on their last working day and hence they might not have seen back then but they have seen them today and called both of my references to cross-question. Is this normal ? (Of course we dont have anything to hide at all but just curious) We have got no remaining documents to send them. From your experience should we expect THAT news soon ? Thanks and kinds regards, Abel Hussain.

  6. Wish & hope this comes true:)

The standard processing time is 12 months for Partner Visa, however, female applicants do get their grants within 4-8 months time. If your file is Decision Ready as you 've already submitted all docs upfront then it should not take long but this definitely do not mean 15 days or 1 month, I mean there is a procedure which has to be followed in all cases. Mine was a Decision Ready file except Medical which was requested after 4 months, and after submission I got me grant in 20 days.

    Good Luck!

    Thanks heaps Ma'am.

  7. G'day Fellas, Hope everyone's having a great weekend.

I have a question if someone can guide me that'll be awesome. Thanks.

I have applied for my Wife's 309 Visa a month ago with all the documents (Incl. Medical, PCC etc etc). On Thursday she received a phone call from her CO from Islamabad. CO as usual cross-questioned her. Everything went good, CO asked for FORM 888 from my side which i submitted on Friday. Now, our immigration lawyer is saying that we should expect grant letter very very soon.

My question is whether this is right? I mean its only a month since we have applied for her Spouse visa and my lawyer is saying that we should get the answer in a week or two as they dont need more documents. Can some please shed some light on this matter please.

    Regards,

    Abel
