Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can give info on this.
Is it possible to transfer from an Hitachi branch in the Uk. to Hitachi Australia? Or does anyone currently work at Hitachi in Oz?
Thanks

Hi, my husband ran his own kitchen fitting business for ten years and is a qualified joiner with lots of experience. We already have our visas, and are looking to make the move soon. Does he need to have had his skills assessed?

Hi, just come across your post about electricians jobs. We ve just got our 189 skilled visas last month (still in England at the moment). We did the visas on my skills (teaching). My husband is a qualified electrician and has all the quals for domestic, technical installations, testing and inspection etc. he and his brother ran their own business until my husband left to work for the aerospace industry ( we had our little one on the way and he wanted more secure work!!!) when we looked into who should be the main app on our visas we decided not to use him as he had a gap in working as an electrician due to his new job. My question is; is it worth applying even though he has the skills, but has nt had them assessed, but has qualifications and experience, even though not recent???
thanks

Yes please Lynsey. If you could give me some advice that would be great. My husbands a joiner and is about to go through the process of getting his skills assessed for the visa app, but has mentioned he would be interested (plus I think it would be very wise) to get the ball rolling in terms of getting job ready. I have heard a few stories of people waiting months for licenses before they can start properly looking for work.
