It’s a long story to keep it short, my file falls through the cracks and AHC’s bunch of Lazy, Physically and Mentally Retarded Locals never bothered to properly do their job which had resulted in 12 long months wait despite several calls and emails.
As I said before I might end up with the male applicants and I did end up with some of them.
I’m flying tonight to be reunited with OH. I don’t want to lose a single day anymore.
Thanks and Good Luck to all remaining.

Visa granted. Woooohoooooo

Hi,
Everyone is silent.
Did all you folks got visa and left the blog? or
Should I assume this is merely a silence before the grant notification storm (Insha Allah)?

Hi All
My wife applied in march this year. Visa granted last week. Just for all the whingers out there: do the right thing (if u know what it is) and ask from Allah. Be patient as well. I have waited for 4 years now for my wife to join me. Guess what? The issue was not visa but something else. So u r all better off wIting just 12 months! Also do not abuse AHC. Just sit on the otherside of the table. Salaam
It reminds me, weren’t you the one whinging and coughing few months back.
Anyway, many congratulations on your wife’s visa grant.
No one here is abusing AHC.
Whatever AHC asked, we applicant fulfilled the requirement by submitting documents which can be counter checked bearing “Legitimate Document Status”. We paid humongous amount of fees and our waiting and hoping every day for positive outcome has No Price Tag, which people on the other side of the table never did and never will understand and on top there’s no transparency and timely status update of process.
As a muslim I have complete faith in Allah and I know he will do the best. It’s only the matter of time, which will pass too, but with some anguish. Patience is the virtue but its running low for everyone.
Just out of curiosity can you say more on how you end up 4 years apart and what were the issues if visa itself was not the problem?
Regards,
Xara

Hi AGB,
As I said before I have gone through both AVAC and AHC check list, and I can't find "Family Registration Certificate", however "Family Composition" which is Form 54 is there. Can you pin point exactly where to look for in the check list.
Regards,
Xara
It's just another name for Form 54 and it's certainly on the checklist.Best,
AGB

I mean to say that you shuold be hearing too much of community politics, so people drag each other out which becomes dirty and messy.
Thanks but what do you mean community dirty politics. -
Baba e Quoom Quaid e Azam always help.
In Pakistan its who you know/have, not what you know/have. Basically if the superviser at Nadra agree's, you can have FRC with photocopy. Normally they require original. This is according to the NADRA helpline. -
Thanks AGB.
I know some how this is not a mandatory requirement but a supplementary one.
Regards,
Xara
Hi XaraBBForm 54 is actually Family Registration Certificate.
Good Luck!!

This is something I don’t understand, if the requirement is not in check list then why it is being asked for?
That is correct XaraBB, it isnt listed in the checklists but my CO is in contact with me at the moment insisting that i send the last piece of Additional info remaining (i.e Family Registration Certificate) and NADRA want my original NIC to make it when i live here in Australia. Just great, really...... Can't you get the FRC made with sponsors photocopy NIC? Why on earth do they even need the original..It's going to take a week for it to be sent to Pakistan and then making it and sending it to AHC =_="
Really annoyed.
-
I have gone through both AVAC and AHC checklists, both list siad "Form 54 Family Composition", but I can't find Family Registration Certificate as a part of document requirement.
Can anyone guide me in right direction?
Regards,
Xara
That can't be it. My wife filled out that form (form 54) when applying yet they still are asking for a Family Registration Certificate. -
Many Congratulations.
Enjoy your life ahead and try to avoid community dirty politics.
Visa Granted -
Hi,
When I had applied, AVAC Karachi staff specifically told me to get PCC before appointment, without PCC AVAC will not accept application and reschedule your appointment.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Xara
Hi AGB,for lodgment of partner visa application at avac karachi, is PCC also required?, as mentioned http://www.australiavisa-pakistan.com/pdf/Partner_Visa_201212.pdf
as far as i know it should be sent uopn only only on request to avoid its expiry. are they accepting the application without PCC or they would insist for PCC? any Idea
Thanks.

No Update for me till yet.
Still waiting. When it will sort out, Allah knows better.
Any update XaraBB? -
Guyz n Galz,
I suppose, Form 54 is used for determining family composition and might work as FRC.
When I was submitting my application, AVAC staff instructed to include PCC, Form 54 and any required document listed in both AHC and AVAC checklist, and I had to arrange those documents before my appointment, without such documents AVAC wasn’t accepting my application.
I'm surprised that how AVAC accepted applications without PCC and Form 54? Let me know.
Regards,
Xara

XaraBB have u got any update from AHC????
No medical request for me yet.
Congratulations to March applicants who got medical requests.
Yes AHC is not giving S***** these days to anyone. I don’t know what is going on.
Hopefully, after 1st July things will become normal that’s what been told to my husband in oz.
I wish I can fly but so sad that we have become bheegi billi.

Hi,
In the interest of people I have found few articles that attributed to ASIO delay in processing and ASIO Security assessment function.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-03-01/asios-security-check-logjam-revealed/1962922
I know its old news but still in effect as boats are still going in to OZ.
Here is the Australian National Audit Office report on ASIO processes (Check Para #s: 1-6 & 14-19)
Internal and External Checks:
DAIC can call for “Internal Checks”, DIAC contact the local embassy and ask them to check things such as university degree verification, employment past and present. Local embassy with the help of third party arrangement performs these checks. You never know when someone pops in as a fake inspector and ask for details on someone’s employment tenure.
“External Checks” are done by ASIO and DIAC has no control of such systems, they just acted on ASIO input. ASIO itself has no decision making authority, it only provide advice/recommendations.
No time frame so far for external checks, used to be 37 days turnaround time in the past now that’s a part of history.
Another question is What actually ASIO checks?
ASIO
The Security Assessment Function
ASIO’s Security Assessment function is an important component of Australia’s national security defences.
For example, in the issuing of passports, granting of visas, granting of access to sensitive government information (security clearances), and access to restricted areas such as ports and airports and sensitive goods.
Security Assessments are not, however, an end in themselves. And they only consider factors related to ‘security’, which in practice is usually terrorism; other forms of politically motivated violence; espionage and foreign interference; and threats to Australia’s territorial and border integrity.
Security Assessments are not character checks and character factors such as criminal history, dishonesty or deceit are only relevant to ASIO’s advice if they have a bearing on security considerations. Character is not itself sufficient grounds for ASIO to make an adverse security finding.
Most ASIO Security Assessments are made at the request of another department or agency, though ASIO can – and particularly in relation to passports does – issue assessments as a consequence of an ASIO intelligence investigation.
Security Assessments can range from a simple check of personal details against ASIO’s intelligence holdings, to an in-depth intelligence investigation to determine the nature and extent of an identified threat to Australia’s national security. Each Security Assessment is handled on a case-by-case basis.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
Can anyone tell me what is the officially stated time period for security checks done by ASIO.I know it depends on case to case..but what is the general time ?
Timeline (309-Spouse visa) applied in May?

As mentioned previusly Final Decision maker is different than the Case Officer. You don't need to push them hard coz its useless, they take their time to make decision.
You can email AHC on fortnightly basis. No harm in this.
Let's hope that you can have positive decision in few weeks.
