  1. Hey Nicolac34,

    Thanks for your help!

With regards to the bridging visa as I have just applied for the tourist visa due to a lack of time and I was issued a bridging visa instantly!

The company I used to work for 'Get Approved Finance' was owned by his son whereas The company I would be sponsored though is owned by John, granted they are part of the same group however are completely separate entity's!

  2. Hi Guys,

I have been on a whv for 1 year on Sunday and need to extend as I am getting sponsored by John Hughes through Westralian Auto Finance as a finance broker which I have been doing for the last 12 months through his other businesses. I am about to apply for a 600 tourist visa and will NOT be working whilst on it, I just need more time in order to get the 457 sorted.

    I have 2 questions:

    1. Would my 600 tourist visa be declined straight off due to my reasoning?

    2. If it is declined and I have been issued a bridging visa would I be given a certain amount of time to leave Australia?

I am just trying to ensure I have dotted all the I's and crossed all the T's in worst case scenario!

    I am in Perth

any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

  3. Hi Guys,

So I came over to Perth on the 6th April 2013 on a 1 year WHV. I am currently working as a finance broker within the John Hughes group and have been told by John himself that they are prepared to sponsor me for the 457 however, I have only 3 weeks left to get it lodged.

I guess what I really need to know is, do I have enough time to get it lodged and onto the A bridging visa, and does anyone have any advice for transitioning over to 457 from WHV?

I have looked at going through an agency however it seems all they want is a s*** load of $$ !

If anyone has any good advice it would be highly appreciated and if anyone knows a decent agent please pass on the details!

All responses are highly appreciated :)

  4. Hey guys, Sorry for the late reply! I will of course ill keep you all posted! My plans are to fly from Manchester to Dubai to perth, arriving on the 6th at 17:25. I'm staying with my mate who is a resident and working for him laying turf for the week (extra $1,000 for alcohol) haha. Im a salesman for BT business over here which I happen to be very successful in. One of my mates in Sydney works for Telstra in sales and earns around 2k a WEEK! So there's lots of money to be made. My plan is to try my very best to get a sponsorship but who knows ay! I'm going to try and get a place in the first month or so preferably in joondalup (where my mate is) but I don't really care as long as it's not too far from the city. Add me in Facebook (Danny Sarath) hopefully I won't be the only one in the sea in April! :D
