If your friend's case was submitted Dec 2012, it's the fatest speed seen so far, only 4 months.

can anyone tell me what this means? Would this mean we have a CO now looking at the application? Or do they happen at different stages?

Hi, Neepops, anyway it seemed a good news and progress. Technically, they will look at your visa application. On these threads so far, some were just granted pr right away after the employer nomination. BTW, did you apply last year Oct or 2011?

Docs to show evidence of lawful & active operation in Australia & letter from accountant stating that the business is a going concern and has the financial capacity to meet all employment obligations for a period of 2 years. The accountant was able to provide everything right away, no issues at all.

Update on my app:

 

Finally got a CO! Requested additional info from my employer on 13/3/2013. Employer sent in requested docs on 18/3/2013. Nomination approved yesterday, 26/3/2013.

 

Finally the home stretch I think...

what documents did diac request your employer?

I am working as System Engineer in WA based company. There were no additional documents required. Not even got notified about CO assignment.

Did you submit as drc? The pr was issued straight away, no additional requests of payslips, contract documents?

Yup! I just got the visa grant notification email, so I am guessing they were both approved on the same day. The documents they asked for were recent pay slips, company annual report and a detailed company overview with business activity details though they were all provided with the initial nomination application.
