I hope you guys are keeping all this information handy for when we arrive! It would be a fab idea if someone could put all that info on a sheet for newbies arriving, such as name address phone no and web address of places like where to get tax file number, centrelink, driving licence changed, and all the other stuff you need? Also a good place to buy new and second hand cars would be handy. It's always good to have recommended places to go to. Any thoughts?

Hi, we are due to move to Darwin soon ( hopefully before Christmas) just waiting for our house to sell, we have two boys age 3 & 6 and would love to meet up with other mums and kids are when we get there. Hopefully we can all help each other through the transition.

Hi thanks guys for the positive replies, we are just waiting for our visa grant now, been told there is a delay as its getting near the end of the year. We are hoping to be there As soon as we can after visa is granted and house sold. We too are from Leicester well hubby is I'm a Cov girl but we live in Leicestershire at the min. Would be nice to meet up when we get there and chat about the old place!! will let you know when we get our visa.

Hi is it normal to have a activation code from a phone call for a new account, only basic details given to set it up, name dob and address, I'm worried as UK accounts have it through the post and not been asked for proof of id or address.

yesterday i I posted on transport thread asking about flights to Darwin for a Reccie visit and other bits and was overwhelmed by the negative comments made about NT. We will be coming on a 489 visa with two children 5 & 2 and really want to live there. I'm not naive about the climate and know it will be a huge change for us but we are so looking forward to coming. It's just put me on a bit of a downer.

So lovely people tell me the great things about NT please and cheer me up!

we are looking at a visit to Darwin to check out jobs, homes etc with two children 5 & 2. Looking at the cheapest and fastest way to get there! Is it cheaper certain months of the year? Is a one stopover flight more expensive? Which is the best airline to go with? Do the stopover airports have any facilities to keep two little ones amused? Any help would be much appreciated

Hi our migration company have just sent our visa application and I have just noticed that our non migrating daughter was not on the application. Should she have been at this point? If so can we amend the application? The company did have all her details ? a little worried now
