  2. Hi Everyone,

I would like to thank every one on this forum who contributed. I got my PR yesterday.

    Timeline:

Applied: 186 ENS Nomination and visa together 5th Feb 2013 DRC Thru migration agent.

Didnt hear anything for 14 weeks and 2 days

Case officer allocated 16th May Morning and PR Granted Same day afternoon!

Thank you once more and good luck to all waiting.

  3. The ENS processing is starting to gain momentum although processing times are still a bit erratic.

As a guide I have had approvals recently ranging from 6 weeks from date of lodgement (nom and visa) up to about 5 months.

It might have been discussed before, but how advisable is it to send DIAC an email yourself although you have applied through an MA, chasing up the application or an update?

As per previous rumours DIAC tend not to like that..

Although these approval timestimes are really sporadic, congrats to everyone who has got approved recently, but it is very disheartening to see no order of approval from DIAC..arrrrggggghhhhh Frustrated!

  4. 186 Visa Grant this morning.

    Timeline

    Nomination 28th July 2012

    Nomination ack 27th September 2012

    Application 2nd October 2012

    Application ack 12th October 2012

    CO 22nd February 2013

    Medical 20th March 2013

Grant 22nd April 2013 (Grant delayed as CO wanted more information to approve nomination.)

    Congrats Dorset!

  5. Congrats RCPlus3! Great news!! And also great news for Gethsemene and the DRC app! Jan-Apr is crazy!

I have just chased my employer's nomination (12th March 13) and got the standard response that they have received the application and are expecting a 6-8 month wait.

I am hoping that this is just the standard reply? Has anyone else had the same kind of response?

Louielou, Ive done it thru an MA and this was early feb, did both nomination and application together. received the ack letter but have not heard anything since..

Just frustrating waiting, but i guess everyone is in the same boat...Good luck to all. Sure we will get it soon.

  6. Melbourne, now my only decision is whether to get evidence in my passport or not, doesn't seem much point to me tbh.....

I would, then you dont have to carry a separate letter to every country you visit. I have only had one problem when i went on hols to africa, they asked to see my 457 visa so i could fly back to oz!

Other than that if you arent planning to travel in the near future , i wouldnt bother!

    Congrats again.

  7. Just to blow people's mind, I just got my confirmation of Visa approval, I applied on the 30th of January 2013 and was approved dated 15th of April! Submitted DRC through a migration agent (shout out to Andre at myaustralianvisa) with more points than the west coast mainline, but still nice to get it so quick!!!

    Ben

Hey Ben congrats!! What immi office was it?? Parramatta?

  8. I believe coloured scanned are ok, yes Big John, and it does state this in booklet 5 - however, to be on the on the absolute safe side we colour scanned and got them certified by the JP prior to uploading them. It doesn't take long, and it possibly cut approx a month off our waiting time over all as the CO didn't have to follow anything up, just simply review all the docs in front of him and make a decision.

We actually uploaded everything, as per the checklist (we were non-DRC), colour scanned and certified (belt and braces approach), and heard nothing from our CO at all other than a single email to tell us our visa was granted. Our visa from submission to grant took 4 months and 10 days - so whatever we did worked well, and we were faced with no queries - hence why I am very happy to advise how we did things where I think I can, to help others have as painless and fast process as possible.

Thank you! I thought it might be the case

  9. Hi guys,

My MA submitted both the nomination and DRC visa at the same time to Parramatta on 21st December 2012, I know it's too soon to expect the visa to come through, but it's 2.5 months now and still no news of an ack letter - should I be worried about the lack of letter coming through?

Same here - MA after taking the money hasnt said a word although i only applied 1 month ago - visa and nomination together. got the visa ack letter when submitted the visa.

Just have to be patient i guess.

Can we contact Diac even if it is through an MA? will they delay your application if you do that??

  10. Ha ha laughing on the floor, sorry!!!! :biglaugh:

Some of us have been waiting 5 months, and still no news, good luck if you get it quickly

    Hey flappychicken,

don't blame you for laughing.. As we are in for a long wait.

my question was whether it is advisable to contact diac if you have an MA? Is it a risky thing to do?

    thank you

  11. I received my acknowledgment letter for my visa application on Friday (15th Feb - Applied 21st Jan) which was great news! I was emailed a 2nd letter yesterday (18th) also an acknowledgement letter! It was the same letter however the 2nd one was from an actual person (GSM Support Officer) rather than just 'DIAC' and it also had a position number. Has anyone else had this or know if this means anything?

    Hi all,

just wondering if its worth me calling immi/diac although I have applied thru an MA? Any disadvantages?

timeline: applied nom and visa together on 4/02/2013

    ack letter: 4/02/13

not heard anything back as yet after that.

    thanks
