Application declined. As I was a dependent on my partner's student visa at the time of application, apparently I was ineligible to apply for 857. I thought student visa counted as a qualifying visa, but apparently not the case if you are the dependent.Probably could have applied for 119 and been fine. That's an expensive and disappointing mistake...

Hi just wanted to let everyone know that after 8 months, we have finally been asked to have our medicals done, applied non drc melbourne 119 sub class visa, low risk. Hopefully not long more now.

Yeh timeline is... Nomination ad visa applied 24 April... Nothing ask pre-grant letter straight up.... Leaving aus tommorw

It must have changed before then as visas are processed by the rules at the time you applied. Your agent should have picked up on this. I am very angry for you, especially if it is just a case of changing the job title as above.

I can't see a tribunal getting you anywhere unless you can find the legislation and it states the rules changed after you applied.

Hi all, I Ve been following the forum for a while. I just want to share with u my timeline : I ve applied from perth 30/03/12 not DRC low risk country Yesterday 08/01/13 I received my case officer and ask me to leave the country for have my visa granted cause I ve applied offshore I've been waiting for more than 9 months . Hope all the best and to receive some good news soon to everyone that has been waiting .it has been a long and stressful wait for me.. Im so happy that I've finally received some good news .

hey every1:biggrin:just want to share the happiest day of ma life, i got my 119 GRANTED this afternoon. I am so sorry for the late post, actually being weekend it was busy at ma work place and beside that i m been busy n booking tickets to be offshore.Once again i would like to thank each and every person on pomsinoz who had been giving right decision and direction to move on life, i think that without pomsinoz my life would have been more stressful than it was. But finally happy ending, new life begins!!!and best of luck to all other members who is been waiting for a long time, i m pretty sure u will get it soon either tommrow or day after but u will.thx once againsambo
