Request for more information: 10 April 2017 and 07 June 2017.

It has been almost a year now and as you may guess, we extremely anxious.

They appointed an agent and personally i believe that he did not do a  very good job in advising them, should I have known, i would have done the Visa myself. I apologise if i offend anyone, its just my frustration talking.

Hold tight everyone. You'll get there. Mine was about a 7.5 month process in total. :-)

Hey guys,

After processing  three  times 489 visa's for different people in my family, my experience says:

We never got notification about CO assignment. In all three cases (1st 6 years ago, 2nd 4 years ago and 3rd recently) CO never contacted us and we got visa grant directly. We always supplied all the documents while lodging even optional one's. And we didn't  engage any agent/consultant either.

For all three cases, even in different years, we got grant between 3 and 3.5 months from date of visa application submission.

Date of Vetassess Application Result- November 20, 2017 

Date of SA nomination Application submission- November 29, 2017 

Date of nomination Application Result- 13 December 2017

Date of Visa 489 Application submission- 14 Dec 2017

Date of Visa Application grant- 2 Mar 2018

Hi all,

My sister's family application is in process too. They have submitted on 15th December for 489(SA sponsored).

Status "Received" means it's changes from Submitted to Received then "In progress " after Case officer is allocated.

Does anyone know about https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/work/work/allocation-dates-for-general-skilled-migration-applications

Page was not updated in February , let's see if it does in March, fingers crossed.
