I just went for an job interview and they told me that they want to hire me but they cant wait until i get my visa.

This is the only job permanent opportunity available to since i arrived 2.5 years ago. Im a contractor now.

 

I rang 131881 and its a number for citezenship not pr.

What is the number to ring.

Aaahhhhh!!!! Cant take it anymore. They will decide who gets the job mid week. I need to be granted Monday or Tuesday.

Seems like they forgot all about our application. I rang and emailed my situation but nothing. I dont expect to special treatment for a faster application but i must be this week.

It seems all the Jun applications have CO now, I just wondering anyone received a phone interview from DIBP? If yes, can you share the questions. Since English is not my first language, I need to prepare and try my best to answer those questions.

Who is sponsoring your visa application? The company which has nominated you has confirmed in its application that it is prepared to offer you permanent employment, so unless I've got this very wrong, it would not look good to Immi if you flag up that you are now a contractor and not a full time employee. Do you know if your sponsoring company have been contacted for further information about their nomination of you? Mine did, and no-one noticed, for a couple of weeks...:mad:

 

If you just want to "check on progress of your visa" however, you should have received an auto response email when you submitted your visa application, mine is from NSW PSE and titled IMMI Acknowledgement of Application Received. At the bottom of each page of the letter attached to that email should be a direct telephone number. I'm NOT saying you should call it, as I know there's been a lot of complaints about people calling direct and delaying things generally, but if you have heard nothing and you know that people have been granted visas from end-June applications, then if I were you I'd give them a call, although do not give them any reason to doubt you're no longer a full time employee and that you're looking for another job.

No. its all legal. Im permanently employed by a contractong agency who sub contract me out to an airline. Its the airline i had the interview for.

I have submitted our 186 application and was wondering if anyone completes the decision ready check list? I thought it was redundant? But it asked for it on the document check list?

The flaw in the plan is if you ever need to be airlifted by chopper -- costs considerably more than an ambulance..

Valid point!! Its the rare occurrances that may happen. Slim chances but can happen.

Hey everyone, just looking for some onfo on the above. We have bupa health insurance and we also have a reciprical agreement with medicare. Are we wasting our money?

I have tried to search for info online about what i am entitled to with the reciprical agreement but couldnt finf much.

Long holidays? So what are my options? Could she stay out for 12 months pop to nz and get another visa stamped on atrival as a visitor?
