Hi,
During my immigration visa process. I have paid VAC2 payment in lieu of my OH IELTS. Now I am in Australia and wondering is there any benefit of paying 4250$ and is my OH can go for learning English or what?? A bit confused. Guidance required from seniors

Congratulations bro
-
Dear Zubair,
I have no idea about it..
-
Have you got any job offer in Perth? I have a plan to move there end of july.
No luck till now. Bro
-
Hi Fari,
where are you living at Perth? I am planning to move to Perth in July. Now actively looking for shared accommodation. I will go with my wife and 8 months old kid. Can you please share your experience on how to find accommodation?
Dear friend
finding accomodation here is a real big task espacially whrn u r coming woth your family. Please see my comments on the thread " HR applicants where are you". Better to come alone and secure an accomodation here first than bring your family. FYI i have paid 9500$ to secure home (4 months advance rent and security). Getting anything before u land here is almost immpossible u vl be forced to take hotels which are v v v very expensive.
Please feel free to contact.

Hi Fari,
Is there any standard duration after MEDS.....??
Sorry for the delayed reply Zubair,
But there is not standard duration after medicals.
If your medicals are finalized you will get grants in a day or two..

As you are planning to move in June.. So have you started looking for job down under ?
I am also planning to by end of May but I dont have any job in hand.. Will search job after reaching there..
Whats your plan ?
I am just surfing net for jobs and collecting the data for available jobs and increasing my network of linkedin professionals in Australia. I am technically not applying now because as a HR Manager I know that employer never bother to look at the CVs of the ppl who are outside the country.
I will do the same and will go there and search...
Wish you good luck may be we can meet there and go togeather for the job search.

Dear Farhan. can u plz advise as how can i see if my medicals are refeered or not because i m not allocated with CO and I did ma meds on 4th april so in ur case after having ur meds done how did ur login details look like? i saw now and medical link have been disappeared. was it in ur case till last?
Actually for me I asked the question about my medicals from my CO and she told me clearly that all medical went OK and cleared but on the website the status never updated and was still required even my visa was issued.
If the medical links are disappeared I hope they are not been referred but to be sure just wait for CO to be allocated as he can tell it defiantely..
Good luck buddy and see you in Perth

All the best for your move .
Regarding the questions , I am still finding out, but as best as I can Answer , here goes :
1) In which area of Perth most Asians (indians or pakistanis) live?
Bentley , Karawara, Northbridge ,and areas near the Universities, you will be able to find students from Asia and all over . Bustling and safe areas are the ones near Universities.
2) Will I be able to secure a home for my family within a month time of arrival (on rent for one year)?
Housing Real Estate is by Viewing and appointments . Lots of people come to view and you have to be lucky to get a house . Some times references and contacts help.
3) Initially I will be traveling alone and planning to bring my family after one month and during that time I have to secure the home, manage the bank account, Phone etc etc. one month is enough for that??
Yes. I guess 1 month should be enough to get all basic things done . Housing - Cannot be sure. Could be less than a week or more than a month , depends on where you look .
4) When i am alone will I be able to get some budget accomodation for around one month and where? recommend any place
Book before you land in Perth . Search Gumtree or Stayz.com. Maybe you will find good deals for a week or two weeks - short term .
5) Which areas are more safe to rasie a family with 2 kids? How is kewdale area?
Bentley ,kararwara , Bayswater , Joondalup, Fremantle , Subiaco - Areas near Universities are safe and have lot of students wandering all the time . Prettty active places.
Just anwer what ever you know as it will help
Anybody who is already in Perth now can help and I will appreciate that...
Regards
Fari
Dear Mushahid,
Thank you very much for your answer.
It will help me a lot.
You are a star.
Wish you good luck

You have to provide the IELTS results for your spouse along with the other documents request by your CO but if your spouse is not going to sit for IELTS than you have to inform your CO that you like to pay VAC-2 payment ( 3 years English language classess) for your spouse in place of IELTS.
This VAC-2 payment is paid usually at the end of processing all documentation including Meds and PCC and when you are almost ready to get a grant. Your CO will send after all formalities are fullfilled; the Invoice for VAC-2 payment and once you have made payment within a few days time you will get grant.

Hello there,
Need some advice please..pretty sure we will be submitting a 190 visa, my job is on the state sponsorship for new south wales so we started the process yesterday I guess as I took the ielts so hear about that in another 12 days. Do I need to get my skills assessed by vetasses before I submit an EOI or can I go ahead and do it after submitting? Also there are forms on the NSW website for state sponsorship when do I fill these in? After EOI or now? It's all confusing. We wanted to get an agent to help but they want £££££, we just can't afford that. Thanks in advance for any help
Jojox
Dear Jojox,
Skill assessment and IELTS are a must for submission of EOI and State sponsorship..
you have to do these before you do anything else as in EOI the marks for these two will be considered and further more you will not be able to complete the EOI application without these two and ofcourse other requirments to claim points for EOI.

Thanks Fari! We are still in shock too be honest! We will move as soon as we have sold our house (it will go on the market this month as it's nearly ready), so fingers crossed we find a buyer quickly and go! If not, and there is the potential for work for me, i will go to Oz and my husband will stay here to sell the house and follow me over!
How are you plans going?
Jo X
I am planning to make the move in June this year and just finishing my job as I already resinged waiting for my notice period to finish. Start packing the home stuff as I will move my personal effects via container to Perth. As I dont have to sell any home so just have to ship my things and get on the plane..

Dear Bala,
Thanks for the mail.
I am heading to Perth (WA) and planning to move there in end of May or Starting of June 2013..
Whats your plan....

Hi everyone, got a quick clarification.
When state sponsorship has been approved already, is there a waiting time from EOI application to being invited to apply for the 190 Visa?
Is it recommended to jump the gun --- file EOI when state sponsorship is about to be approved?
thanks
Sometimes it takes a few days as the State office has to update your case in the system...
Better to send them an email or call them and hopefully they will update it on the same day and you will get the invitation to apply on the same day...
Good luck

Hello there...
I am applying for my ACS next week and am planning to complete my IELTS meanwhile...
My consultants have asked me for a 7+ score. I am a bit scared there...guess i will make it...but in case i dont..?
:chatterbox:
My wife is also giving the IELTS...so was wondering if i can get some points if she scored well...or by any other chances? She is a Engineering graduate and is working for 5 years in a reputed IT firm.
Let me know ....thanks a ton!!!
Pra
Dear Pra,
If you are the main applicant than she just need to have 4.5 band in each for ielts and her IELTS band will not contribute any points towards your application.
Wish you good luck for your IELTS and just concentrate for minimum one week on IELTS exams prepration and you will get +7 in each band.

Ship it.
Dear Rupert,
Thanks for the reply.
Can you eloborate a little bit that why I will ship it? I will be very thankful to you for your time.
VAC2 Payment: is there any benefit?
in Visa Chat
Posted
Dear Mates,
Once you have paid VAC 2 and go the visa. Once you are in Australia your wife can go to any AMEP center which are usually present in every part of city with your wife passport and tell them that your wife want start AMEP classes and thats all the AMEP have all the information about your wife visa.
Thats all.
It is not necessary to go immediately after landing take your time and visit once everything is settled down. My wife visited them after 4 months of landing and started after further 2 months.
good luck
