  1. I am on a 485 visa, I have it till January 14, I am an office manager, I can do the skilks assesment and yea I have the head office willing to sponsor me but I dont know if I have the energy left in me to apply again and start the whole wait all over again...... I will get our company's ceo to speak to the co and if he can take new documents and process the file sooner, which is very unlikely that he would agree to.

  2. Hi i got my pre-grant letter yesterday, booked my flights and accommodation, bags packed, was supposed to leave tomorrow morning and just got a call from my co today saying sorry your visa cannot be granted as your company has been liquidated (to my surprise). checked with my boss and the head office which confirmed this, no one informed me about the liquidation and the head office mailed the co straight. I am devastated and don't know what to do.......

  3. Good luck! Although they have been known to say that and still leave people hanging. Fingers crossed.

Yea I have had that from the co a few times till now but just have my fingers crossed hoping a positive response comes tomorrow, Thanks anyways and really appreciate all the help and advice from you and everyone else.

  4. Hello everyone, i spoke to the diac general line about my 119,they said the co must have been busy (which i already know and understand) and he also said "i dont think co would need any more documents from you and would give you a decision on your file soon by letting your ma know that you need to go offshore"

Could he be reading some notes on the file and then suggesting me this or its just a general advice ?

  5. Just got my PR!!! My timeline is as follows Non DR application from Melbourne PSE Employer nomination submitted: 6 Dec 2012 Application submitted: 23 Dec 2012 Nomination approval : 3 April 2013 PR granted : 25 April 2013 That's on Anzac day !!!! Total time taken 4 months and 2 days!!!! So some movement from MEL after all.... I wish you all the very best and hope you all hear some good news soon....I must admit my case beats all odds and I wish the various PSEs start issuing out visas at in this timeline for all. I think it will happen soon. I got a lot from information and support from reading this blog. It is a good forum to air your views and problems. It makes you feel that you are not alone...... Cheers to all

Congratulations kkk666, just wanted to know in case of an approval does the co email the ma or the applicant directly ?

  6. Application declined. As I was a dependent on my partner's student visa at the time of application, apparently I was ineligible to apply for 857. I thought student visa counted as a qualifying visa, but apparently not the case if you are the dependent.

Probably could have applied for 119 and been fine. That's an expensive and disappointing mistake...

sorry to hear that, i guess need to look forward, if the nomination is approved you can apply the visa and get your ma to explain to diac what the problem was and it will be processed quickly.

  7. before co makes a decision ,,jus let him no about the condition,,and if u can jus get a new contract frm the new employer and submit it to ur CO

If he does this then most certain his file will be turned down.. from what i have heard if the abn changes there is no option but to lodge a new application right from starting

  8. Morning everyone,

Just feeling the need to vent some frustration. It's been nearly 4 weeks since my nomination was approved and the co still hasn't looked at my pr application (which was sent in together with the nomination). Too busy with other cases. It's been nearly 14 months since I lodged my application now, and I'm so fed up with waiting. Even this forum is frustrating to me now because all I'm seeing is people who lodged between 3-11 months AFTER me, already getting their PR while my application is just collecting dust in a corner somewhere.

Sorry for the vent, just so so so frustrated today.

Its completely understandable mate, i have completed 10 months and have had a co for 6 weeks now but nothing from them, the wait is becoming unbearable now :(

  9. Hi everyone

i lodged rsms 857 (paramatta) on 28 June 2012. I just found that I got case officer allocated 5 weeks ago but no communication at all. If I email my case officer will there be a negative impact if not what should I write which will not annoy her.

    any suggestion

Hi Amar, im in the same boat, applied 28th June have had a co since 5 weeks but i rang him directly, he was very co-operative and said i will be processing your file next week, he even said call me anytime if you have any questions! i would suggest just write a short email asking if they need anything or its always better if your co chases it up, after all we pay them for this only...
