Congrats to everyone granted today, the rest of us June applicants can't be too far off now looking at timescales
-
I had contact from our agent and got excited for about 1 minute until I read the email. It was just a courtesy email to say they expect CO to be in touch soon and they will chase up end of this month. She did say she would expect it to be mid December at latest in line with application date etc but didn't want to guarantee anything. Another week of checking emails daily here we come!!

just looked at the spreadsheet, and I've disappeared off it ???
Just worked it out - someone had put a filter on - you are back there are some benefits of working with ssheets everyday after all !
-
Unfortunately the time frame is only a guideline :-( so when they say 5-6 months it could be more or less due to holidays ir sick leave etc
Wishful thinking on my part then !

Hi, I applied around 13 June and had acknowledgement of my case from Australia House on18th June, I'vehad email correspondence with LG since, the latest being around a couple of months ago and she said they were looking at nearer 6 than 5 months which would take us up to mid December. Looking at the email above re "end of December " grant for someone else who submitted around the same time, i would say the response from Australia House to a chasing email may be likely to disappoint !
I'm in Oz now on a tourist visa but naturally am extremely keen to try and secure a job and start working before the Christmas .
January , being summer holiday time, s pretty much dead so far as trying to secure work is concerned as decision makers are usually away on their hols. Rather disappointing.
They should have just told us June applicants it will be 6 months then we would never have got our hopes up for 5 I thought though they have to grant in the the time frame stated so the latest it could be is around your 6 month date unless you have issues with your application. So for us around the mid June mark it should be mid December latest. Anyone know if that is the case?

5 months and one week....getting closer ...I hope! Really hoping it doesn't go the full 6 months as want to give my notice in at work - my motivation to do my job is reducing daily!!! Am hoping we start seeing some June grants soon.

It is five months now I would like my visa now please...

Congrats to everyone who got their grants this week - I am soooo jealous!!! Good to see they are processing quite a few now and not many have been the full 6 months.

VISA GRANTED!!! Decided to call VF as I noticed my projected processing time was actually 5 (rather than 5-6) months and it had been 5.5 since submission. She didn't even wait for me to ask the question; she told me she presumed I was calling for an update and said she'd grant either today or tomorrow. 1 hour later, I got the email! So, my stats are:
May 15th - application submitted at Australia House.
June 12th - no further information required.
October 29th - visa grant.
To those still waiting, my fingers are firmly crossed for a quick turnaround for you all!
Congrats on the grant!! Getting a bit excited now as you applied a month before us. The end of this wait is almost in sight... I hope!

We applied mid may. Have just been told by our case officer that its closer to the 6 mnth mark. We told her our flight leaves 7days after the 6mnth timeframe is up and she said your visa will be granted definately before your flight leaves. This last 4 weeks is going to be the longest 4 weeks of our lives. We find ourselves looking at this thread everyday to see people progress. Check our emails every few hours as well. Never thought Id be like this.
The wait might now be blessing, the other half has got the idea in his head this week we should move to the outback- not NSW where he is from, family and friends are based - just to have an 'adventure' ...I might need a bit longer to take the idea back out of his head!!

Just over 4 months after application, not getting much from our agent - other than it is likely to be close to the full 6 month wait now. I have become obsessed with looking at my calender and calculating all the possibilities for when we might get the decision/grant, it is a little unhealthy!

Hi everyone
Another newbie adding to the waiting list! We applied on the 13th June (309/100) and are hoping we get the visa granted by early December so we know we are good to go and can start getting organised to be out there by Feb at the latest.
Is it me or does the wait seem to actually get longer the closer you get?

So that was about 5 months and 2 weeks, happy days. Now just have to book flights, pack, find somewhere to live, jobs...nothing much really! It all feels a bit real now.
