  1. Hi guys can I sit the citizenship test in London UK then fly back for the ceremony as I need to go back to UK urgently as my 19 yr marriage has hit the wall and will soon be homeless.and my elderly mum isn't doing too well so it would be nice too see her after being in SA for 9 yrs this January cheers all.

  2. I might add follow your instinct.and don't wollow in the past.break ups happen in every country.some more here though with migrants.its no good dwelling in a mates place, though sometime good, it's not long term.go where ever your support is ie family and put your feet up and evaluate your situation without stress of money worries or commitments until you are ready to.

  3. Hot spud, you sound just like me. You have written exactly what I am going through.if it helps you are not alone in your predicament.I and friends are going through the same. Weird I know,i am going back to the UK on my own,I came here with my wife of 17yrs and three great kids, but leaving on my own.I know it sounds selfish but I have to do it for my own sanity. I have to regroup so to speak and like you I don't have the support here needed for that. Thus I am going back to stay with my brother and parents.dont feel ashamed in doing what feels best for you.i always thought about everyone else but for now it's me time.always pm if you like,a problem shared is a problem halved. All the best

  4. I am absolutely over f@$$@$!joyed at the result...it's like a big cloud has lifted.I am loving watching tony Blair, Alistair Campbell etc etc on the verge of tears who where the" coordinators" of the reasons why the majority wanted to leave.so so happy knowing I can return now knowing the issues that made me come here in the first place will be addressed. Always look on the bright side of life.. Du..du......du..du..du..dudu:wink:

  5. Thanks aj for the reply I just can't find the costings on the border control website for the kids prices, no worries I am going to immigration on Monday before my op this Tuesday.just got email that the op is on Tuesday hoorah.its such a weight off my shoulders knowing that.

  6. I don't think it works like that. The guy was white. You don't blame all white people. But you do blame all far right nut jobs. If you are embarrassed about being a member, then maybe an inward look is overdue.

And of course the irony is that a large number of those terrorist attacks, if not the majority were committed by the far right.

I am white but not far right in thinking just concerned that's all.is that inward look as you say applicable too all?.

  7. There's the rub! It is very hard to have an intelligent debate on immigration without some nutjob with a skinhead and swastika tats grinning madly and gesturing to come aboard the hate boat.

its not all skinheads and swastikas, like all the left don't wear masks and hoodies.

Majority killed by the far right?i think you need your pills.and watch the news more carefully.

  9. Shocking news.

Seemingly this lady was murdered by a British First right wing extremist.

Highlighting the sad death of a woman going about her job for political point scoring is pretty sad.as in why say he was far right?he maybe was but do not tarnish everyone who has a leaning to right wing thinking.like anyone with the right mind wouldn't blame all Muslims for all the terrorist attacks in the last two decades. And sadly there has been a lot of those around the world in the name of......!

  10. Hi people,I am wanting to return to the UK soon but my PR visa ran out 3 years ago.i am filling out the Rrv forms for myself and I know the costing for myself ($360). But two of my kids want to come with me while my partner stays here with our younger child.i cannot find the costings regarding the kids.

this will be my first trip back 'been here 8 and half years'and it's long overdue to go back.i have been desperately homesick for a few years now.i have a operation on my arm soon and won't be able to work for a couple of months(carpenter) So I am going to use this time off to do a recce on the place with a possibility to return for good.sorry for digressing. I could say heaps more. Maybe later when I get my mental fix, thanks for reading hope someone on here can let us know

  11. Nah just a supercharged 6.2 adventra with all the bells and whistles. Thirsty for the trip I know but I will take fuel and provisions with us. But I also don't want to plan it to much I just want to go for it and meet the obstacles on the way.

  12. V8 AWD, Volvo XC90?

Lots to see on the way.

Fill the tank before turning off for Uluru and bring some extra to get back to the highway. Back to Alice via Kings Canyon is another option. Better than Uluru imo.

Cheers for the reply mate any advice is welcome

  13. Thinking of just jumping in the car it's a v8 awd and just going for it my Aussie mates look at me and say I am crazy but would love to do it.i am crazy and just do things on impulse. My oldest daughter who is 17 is up for it. Sod it I am going for it and the adventure and look back on the trip as a crazy one but hey life is for living.

  14. My wife and I have registered for postal votes as we are leaving the UK at the end of May on 4 year visas.

I believe that whichever side loses will (in the short-to-medium term at least) be claiming the moral high ground as the UK faces tough times ahead regardless of the outcome. If we vote to leave there may well be an economic hit, whereas if we stay we will be powerless to prevent further uncontrolled immigration.

Open border EU migration is a good thing for big businesses and our GDP statistics but many average Brits have reasonable concerns about the pressure it puts on our schools, hospitals, housing and other public services...not to mention some negative social effects (which most politicians we are graced with shudder at the thought of discussing).

Both of us shall be voting out because even if there is a temporary economic hit we feel the country is strong enough to adjust and would as a result be a better place to live in the longer term.

Best post so far.they need us more than we need them that's why all the unelected europhiles are running around scared shitless we will still trade with Europe but also trade with the rest of the world without having the constraints of having unelected buerecrats telling what to do.VOTE OUT,money isn't everything but history and culture is.
