  1. turns out they have approved the nomination as business analyst before my employer gets in touch with her. First time I realised how efficient thay can be.

This DIAC is a funnier place than WORLD now. Anyway All the very best for your application.

  2. I was nominated as accountant, RCB was approved last year. Today my employer was contacted by my nomination case officet who confirmed that my job description is more like ICT business analyst than accountant and she will approve my nomination as busines analyst. Indeed my position was overlaping between busines analyst & accountant because you need both skills, more exactly my job is to help clients to implement/ use accounting systems.

I have an accounting degree and took a few units about IT area. My question is, will the nomination category affect my visa application given I don't have any IT related degree?

Hi Suzyn, I do not want to scare you but if at the time of lodging the application you were nominated as accountant and now employer wants you to nominate in a different occupation then the chances of putting down the nomination are higher. For IT business Analyst not only you need IT degree but relevant units to be taken in the degree as well. It also majorly depends on your previous experience.

  3. 10 weeks after CO are pretty normal. Some are waiting more than 4 months.

Just to let you know that if CO has been assigned and he is not having any communication with you then most likely he would have sent your case for character check to the private agencies. Have some patience.

  4. Kind attention to blossom!!! And all senior members.....please help !!!

Provide all the documents which can justify your case and wordings. Such as Divorce/Settlement papers between you and your ex-wife. If you have MA, ask them to represent your case, They should know well enough what to do. Otherwise, Just I would say email your Case Officer explaining your situation.

Department entertains you for any circumstances providing you have genuine case.

  5. I didn't poke diac at all, also applied in June and had my visa in five months. To me that would show the opposite.

Everyone has a different story and experience. The idea here is to do what it takes from your side to settle down butterflies in your stomach which most people have awaiting for PR.

Now it is easy for you and me to make a comment on anything as we are already on the other side of the line :)

I remember the frustration you had against DIAC while waiting for decision.

    Regards,

    SUnny

  6. HI Sunny, U and me are mostly quite close.. I also applied System Analyst. Lodge (119) 28th June 2012. Nothing reply yet....:( Hopeless.....!_!

I think the only difference would be that mine was 857 and i have been working witht the company already.

Also from my experience keep poking DIAC might hurry up things for you. Atleast it did for me i believe.

  7. Congratulations! It seems that your application is not decision ready? Can you let us know what kind of job you are working and any additional documents requests? Thx!

I am working as System Engineer in WA based company. There were no additional documents required. Not even got notified about CO assignment.

  10. I have just been told by Agent that CO is ready to grant a visa to my.

Only problem is that my wife and daughter are offshore and CO seeking for a returning date.

Have to adjust their flights date..........Good news is on the corner :)

Following my previous post. My wife and kid are back in australia. MA has communicated the same to the case officer..now waiting for the news!!!!

  11. Hi Rid I have not much idea may be your MA answer when you have to leave but as I know it is within 28 days!!!!!RBP

RBP: it is not necessary that you have to leave with in 28 days. 28 Days are the normal set of timeline given to the applicant for any condition. However, if you have a strong reason then case officer can understand and give you more time as well.

  12. Mate, email "NSW.PSE@IMMI.GOV.AU" and let us know the current timeline.

    Good luck.

I do not think one should follow the timeline as it is just to give an idea. It is not 100% correct for instance i applied please see my timeline in the signature and i got the case officer. As per time line i should have been still waiting. So i will advise to leave it instead of following it up. I was following it up from last 6 months..the day i left following ..there you go i got the case officier. :)

  13. Just got told from my agent that case officer has said that the application is in order except the medical checks for my baby but as per medibank my baby's health checks were finalised on the same day when our's were. .so my agent has to communicate the same to CO. Has anyone else been in the same situation?
