Thanks everyone! This forum, and this (and other related) thread has been a great help.
Our CO was KP. OH's initial entry deadline is one year after police check as that was what CO received first. When we got the email telling us when to sort medicals, I used that as a way of thinking of 'when was the latest we want to enter by'. We were given a date in August, but chose September because the prices of flights go down again. We're aiming for a May departure though.
Newbie121, I'm sure you will get yours soon....I had given up and was expecting mid-Jan grant.
Nice One. All the best on your move:biggrin:

Congrat's to all that have, had there visa's granted.I know how you all are feeling.

I'm in Brisbane at the mo but we're moving to Mooloolaba in two weeks time. I sent KP an email asking if there was any way he could give me notice as to when I would get my visa so I could plan my flights, the next day he replied saying he was ready to grant it :-)
I love Moolooolaba,spent New years eve there.

All you do when you get there is to tell them you are waiting for you visa to be granted, thats what i did and they good luck enjoy Australia. They did not ask for any proof of funds or a return ticket as i had travelled on a oneway ticket.

We received my partner's visa yesterday, about a month earlier than expected! we were originally given the 8-9 month time frame when we applied in November so we weren't expecting it til mid-July. Also an added surprise, she granted us the 100! We've been together 4 years and aren't married or anything so I wasn't really expecting to get that at all! Our CO was RE and the only contact we had with her the entire time was her first email to say she received our application and when to have the medicals/police checks done. Will be booking flights today!
Congratulations:biggrin: Hope all goes well for you all.

I still don't understand why some people take much longer than other to get their visas. Where are you from? and Did you apply in the London office?
I'm from london and did apply in london.i was't to bothered about the wait as i was already out in Aus with the family on a 12mth tourist visa.
Looks like it's time to get back to work after a year off:yes:.It was nice to able to take a break from working to fully recharge the batteries:cool:.
Good luck to all those waiting the time will fly by before you know it:wink:.

Hi everyone, so we applied for the e676 12 month visa last night.... I am just wondering if anyone else has been granted a 12 month e676 without having a medical? Please can anyone who has had a 12 month granted share their experience of getting the visa please?
Thank you so much x
Hi allsmallletters
I applied on line for my 12mth e676 on a monday and had it by the friday and they asked for no medical. So you should not have any prob's.
Good Luck.

Woo hoo! I love coming on here and seeing grants in a row like that! That's so cool guys, congrats!
A little bit of good news for me this morning too - got the "OK" from LG that she will let my fiance know when to leave Aus "closer to the grant" to activate our PMV in April... So he will be here in less than 4 weeks if all goes well at the airport He's applying for the e676 tonight.
Thanks for the advice everyone - if anyone else is doing the tourist visa route, dont be a stranger - make sure you post on here so I dont feel like I'm the only one! I'm sure in 3 or so weeks I'm gunna be freaked out about the whole airport thing. I know in the back of mind I know it will be OK.. but there's always those niggling little worries.
Hi Kitty
I'm on a 12mth e676 visa came through with ease and said i am waiting for my 100 spouse visa to be granted in june, they said good luck!
No questions asked about how i will support myself.Just enjoy your stay.

thanks guys
Dean
You can open a bank account online,I did mines while in the uk,plus you dont get any charges for the first 12mths.But you can only deposit funds into the account.Until you can fully activate the account when in Aus.Whats the rush with the license surely that can wait.Good luck.

hi there
just wonding if i needed more evidance of the our relationship would my case worker ask me b4 or after getting my medical and police check or is the med and police check the last thing they ask for can anyone help
thanks dean
They would ask you before the medical, because getting the med is the final stage after they have all the info that they need from you.someone please correct me if i am wrong!
-
unsure, assume they send everything back as soon as its granted!! Im sure if you urgently need something you are entitled to ask for it, or at least a copy...maybe try contacting your CO or agent if you have one!
Once they checked my doc's they sent it back a few days after and i did supply a return envelope with postage.

I have VF. Doesn't seem many people on here have her. Was there a particular reason why

It's just that i have emailed a few times with no reply! due to the fact i have to supply more info.

Congrat's to all who have recieved there vis a's:biggrin:.Posted mine on saturday(309/100),they recieved it today as money has been taken,it was front loaded with police check so waiting for them to call for med's.

Your out of pocket expenses to get this car to Australia and on the road should be around $6,000 which including the current car value makes a total cost of somewhere around $13,500 ... this vehicle should be worth about $16,000 to $20,000 roughly so it would be worth bringing with you. Category A.
cheers,dude,will defininately ship it over:biggrin:.
