I really only got to know what my husbands duties were when we were applying for a visa, all those other years I never really new :eek:
yes you are right!!!
it was a shocking revelation for me too, when i was applying that my wife does not know what i do....
before that she considered me as salesman standing at counter trying to sell to customers.
The best part is she is my wife since 2000 (more than 11 years)

just a stupid question i want to ask, what work the "fitter" do, who can apply for this position?
is it for those who work in assembly line production unit? or something else.
i now its a silly question, but would appreciate if you could help me answering it.

That's not good even if its just one letter it could be a total different name and I suppose that's how they will see it,
Passport guram
ielts guram
PCC guram
Medicals guram
Marriage certificate gurram
So it looks like that you will have to change everything to match you passport is that correct if so then looks like you may have to do ielts PCC, medicals and marriage certificate, I am not sure what help we can offer.

it was with the case of my brother also.
His few documents were with spelling as "SHEIKH" and some were "SHAIKH"
what he did was, he made an application explaining both spellings are used and both means same, and got that application attested by notary public (or justice of peace in some countries) and submitted to Australian DIAC and the issue was cleared.

I THINK THIS EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER IS DRIVING ME MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!!!!!!:witch-inpain: One day it seems Diac is working fast and i get all excited, and the next day everything just changes and makes me feel depressed and without hope of getting a co this year, but then, the next day, something happens and makes me feel hopeful again, just to get a big deception the next day.....I cannot stand this!!!! I cannot even continue with my life! I am not buying furniture I NEED just in case I move next year....I am not planning my christmas holidays just in case i have to save for the moving.....i cannot change my job just in case diac calls for job verification and i dont trust my boss verifying i work there if i dont work there (confidentiality dumb rules about who works or worked there)....i feel awful!!

Your situation is not different than others!!!!
There are 1000s applicants going through the same uncertain conditions.
I have nothing to comfort you....sorry for this, but I have strong belief that, whatever GOD does it is always for our benefit, as per my faith all is written even before we were born, so live with it and enjoy every moment of it.
Secondly, I liked one quote (million $ worth) here at this forum, someone wrote as, "Watched pot never boils"
So chill up and shut everything down and wait, follow the forum with ten days interval.
Otherwise you may lose some precious moments and memories of where you are.
Cherish each day as this will be remembered for years to come in Australia.

If you go to Manchester and are using the EH forms then they take your photo and upload it so no need to take any pics. Manchester was fab we all went in together I had everything done first then once I was done I went for my xray while hubby had his med By the time I got back my kids were having their meds Martin went for xrays. by the time Mart's xray was done we were paying the bill and out the door. Just under 1 hour. Lovely people calm and relaxed no need to stress about anything. If anyone os worried about weight a BMI of 40 is the major trigger if you are under that with no jiont complaints you will be fine. Guess what I,m gonna have a look at my visa app now.:wub:

Thanks. But im guessing will be a longer wait now some Cat 5's are Cat 3's now :frown:
dear I think such does not make any diff
100 applications processed with you ( as CAT5) or processed separately before you (as CAT3) time taken at each application e.g Med/PC, ext/int checks are same for CAT 3 or 5.
suppose if they remain in CAT5 but processed before you considering they are on top of the pile

Well I am going to book my medicals tomorrow, this is going to cost us just short of
£1500. :policeman: and then send of the police checks on Tuesday. :biggrin:

Hi Guys,
I'd like to ask to all of you. My agent did a mistake on my GSM application (885). He filled my occupation as Analyst Programmer instead of Software engineer (in which I got +ve assessment). My question is, whether I could rectify this silly mistake on the form? I can show that my +ve assessment was dated way back before the application was made, so in this case the mistake was really genuine human error. Making another GSM application is out of question as I can't do it straightaway with my current circumstances.
I should just call immigration tho.. but I thought I check online first.. can't sleep tonight.

after long wait if somthing go wrong i dont recommend.

Is there someone who was nominates/sponsored by any state but due to long wait their category was removed from the state plan (SMP)...
I want to know what happened after that ???????
their CATEGORY changes? their apllication REFUSED? need to apply for any other state (SMP)? or else.....
