Iv lived in Queensland for 14 months , I have PR. I returned to UK March 2017 as my marriage broke down. I am now returning the end of this month (Feb 2018) to go back alone. However, both my daughters in UK have announced they are pregnant, so I am still going but will return in August for the birth. I will have had my PR 5 years next year, I really wanted citizenship but that looks unlikely now, what are my rights to return back to OZ to Work once PR ends? Can I apply again for it?

I emigrated to Queensland last February. I am a Nurse, but because my registration was such a nightmare to obtain I had to return to The UK in August as I had ran out of money. I have finally been granted my registration and now intend to return back to Bundaberg. However someone has told me if I am out the country for over a year I have to apply for a visa again.....Is this right? as I was granted Permanent residency.
I am now currently looking for work if anyone knows of anything going i would be very grateful.

I applied for my nursing registration with AHPRA in November 2013, after 6 months of gathering further information for them because of a change in guidelines, I was notified in August 2014 my application had been rejected. I was currently living in Brisbane at the time with a permanent residency. I was told i could appeal which i did and it had to be entered by 31st October 2014, since then it has been withdrawn from panel twice. It was meant to go again on 5th March but up to yet Ive heard nothing. Im now back in the UK because i couldnt work in OZ with no registration. Is anyone else going through the same? Im so frustrated and desperate to get back over there. My appeal was rejected because I have a diploma and not a bachelor degree which you now need. but if they had told me this in the first instance i could of upgraded while iv wasted all this time waiting to hear from them.

So if he applies for a visitor visa , once over there he can apply for a de facto? Can he actually stay in OZ while all this is going through or will he have to leave?

My partner is 41, and we have booked our wedding for December 2016. He would like to study nursing over there but were not sure if he dies that if we can still apply for a de facto visa if he has a student one. We will be living in Queensland.

I have a PR in OZ. I'm currently in the UK and returning back to OZ in a couple of months. My partner of 6 months wants to come with me. I am eager to return but don't want to leave him behind. I have spoken to 2 migration officers on the best way to get him over there but they haven't been very helpful. Does anyone have any advice?
-
So as far as immigration are concerned you are still with your ex husband (if you havnt advised them otherwise). You can't then claim to be in a defacto relationship with someone else and sponsor them.
speak to a registered migration agent.
No I haven't advised anyone yet. As my divorce only came through before Xmas.

Hi Dale and Lauren
i have permanent residency but I’m currently back in UK, been here a year. I am flying back to Queensland in 4 weeks, I have applied for several jobs and heard nothing back yet I have 9 years experience and previously worked as a nurse when I was over there. I have also applied to agencies to be told until I am actually in Australia companies do not want to know. So I am flying back alone in the hope once I get there I will get a job. Good luck to you both.
