It could be worded ore clearly, but they aren't going to go back to employers who already have workers on 186/187 visas and ask for more money.  It's only on future applications.

With Australia immigration one never knows lol.  But thanks I am sure you are right.

It looks like they're referring to the new training levy that will be applied when nominating someone on a 482 visa or on a 186/187 visa.  For the 186/187 visa, there's no requirement for the employer to pay any of the fees so they could require the employee to pay this in addition to the nomination and visa application fees.

It does not say applying it say a fee is set for an employee ON a permanent skilled visa. To me that means on visa already not applying for.  I think I will just call up somewhere (Lawyer or Immigration) to get a definite answer.  Thanks anyway.

  3. Was just reading this article and am a bit baffled by one sentence which I hope is a misprint, otherwise it does not make sense and actually just makes being a migrant in Australia extra challenging.

    https://www.sbs.com.au/yourlanguage/punjabi/en/article/2018/06/29/australian-visas-whats-changing-july-1?cid=inbody:visa-seekers-left-in-the-lurch-by-changes-to-state-nominations

The sentence states "A fee of $3,000 is set for an employee on a permanent skilled visa (186 and 187 visas)" does this mean the fee will be applied when APPLYING for 186 or does it mean as a permanent resident on 186 either you or your employer has to pay this fee?  If it is the latter...what the hell?

  4. Congrats - Densha... I always thought of asking you but was hesitant..Now i feel like to ask about your bottom line info - Complex Application What does that mean?

Thanks Fida. Our application was complex as one of the dependents (our daughter) is over 18. She is 22. Proving dependency of a 22 year old is not easy. There was a lot of paperwork involved.

  6. Morning / evening all .
Snooping on my  immi application again and I’ve noticed next to my husbands “ sponsor “ name it now says ( approved )

im pretty certain it didn’t ever say that before , Could it be a sign it’s progressing ? My application is “ further assessment “ at the moment.

Thank you all all in advance

Yes that probably means nomination has been approved. What visa did you apply for?
  7. Hello everyone

Another silent reader here. I would like to appreciate all of you for making this wait easier. You all who post here, are brave and strong people. Honestly, I couldn’t write, just being so stressed and fed up with the wait.

And today I am writing as THAT WAIT is over.

ENS TRT as Cook approved today, applied in MAY 2017

both nominations and visa applications were approved within an hour. [emoji4][emoji4]

After two RSMS and one ENS refusal, it is hard to believe that I finally have received THE GOLDAN TICKET. And it marks a little above a decade of being here and trying.

My bestest wishes with everyone writing and reading here. I promise that you will forget this long wait within minutes. Best wishes [emoji4]

    Congratulations. All the best.

  8. Mine took 4 days

Thanks. My MA obviously made a muck up as she applied beginning of February and we have not received them. I called Canberra today and yes there was some problem. Lady that I spoke to would not tell me what she just wanted my MA contact details to sort it. 3 hours later I received confirmation of report been completed and will be dispatched in next post. Yay. My MA will get mouthful from me soon!

Good morning folks. Been a silent reader and follower of this forum. Just wanted to share a good news and relief you all too that immigration is indeed processing the files as I’ve received a golden ticket to stay permanently in Australia after 10 years and 2 weeks of struggle, hard work, patience, positive approach, being optimist of positive outcome, aggression, extortion, long hours like a slave, unfair treatment, 2 student visa, 2 TR visa, 1 RSMS rejection, 1 457 visa and finally 186 visa granted yesterday. It has been a journey full of emotion, fear of what future hold, a real test of character. I’m glad all those years hard work and patience has paid off finally. Here are my details of the application.

    Occupation :- Cook

Nomination and visa lodge date :- 27/02/2017

Nomination and visa both approved on same date :- 05/03/2018

No document requested. Opened, assessed, finalised with the grant.

I wish and will pray that all of your also get granted sooner then later. Cheers.

Congratulations. I am so happy for you. No more stress. Wish you all the best.

To be honest MA are not serious about the client they just concern with money that’s it . It’s very easy You should apply it for your self and then send it to your MA and save the money and time as well . And also I don’t think so your MA Applied it or not yet .
Best of luck and don’t take stress it will be sought out soon .

Thanks for that.  It is too late.  We have already got her to do it and paid for it too so can't really do it again.

It’s took only one day if you apply online and very next day u will receive it in you desire address .

That is exactly what I heard too Ali777, it has been 3 weeks (15 working days) since our Migration Agent did ours.  I have no idea why she did them by post. So frustrating.  We have even gone over the initial 28 days that Immigration give you to provide further documents.  I am now extremely stressed!

  12. Just want to find out how long peoples police reports took?  I am so annoyed with our MA as she applied for ours on the 13th February and to date we have not received them.  She did not do them online and secondly we had asked her to just do them and submit them with our application and she did not. So annoying.
