  1. Hi. I will be arriving in Sydney on May 3rd. I need a single private furnished room for not more than $150 including electricity, gas, water, internet and washing machine. I have no location preference as long as it is in Sydney. Please help me find one such room. I am looking forward to staying for at least 12 weeks. Thanks.

  2. Well, just for the record, the status of 'Evidence of English language' for my wife now shows 'received' in the ImmiAccount. It took 8 days for the status to be updated after VAC2 had been paid.

  3. My agent informed me that my VAC2 was paid on January 20th. But I still see no change of status in the ImmiAccount. Should I expect some sort of confirmation that the payment has been made? If so, how long would it take for them to send me some receipt of payment? Thanks.

  4. kys7, did you have any problem obtaining the PCC? Any hassel? What is the process btw?

Get the treasury chalan worth Tk. 500/= by depositing the money in any branch of Sonali Bank. You have to fill in 3 copies of the same chalan form and don't forget to write down your mobile no. on the 3rd copy. The form is generally available near the bank. Get the photocopy of your passport attested by first class gazetted officer and bring all the documents along with your original passport to DMP Headquarters. There's a separate building for this service. The officer will receive your documents, run an initial check on your passport and assign you a token where date of delivery will be mentioned. The PCC will be delivered to your home address by courier service and you have to show the postman that token you were given and pay a service charge of Tk. 20/=. Before you get your PCC, an inspector might visit you at your home address for inquiry and you might want to give him some amount as tip (500/= or so).

  5. Mamun bhai, i wanted to know something! Like, if you apply for ss to a certain state, then do you have to work n live there forever? Or there is a timeframe?

If you are nominated by the NSW Government under the Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa you are expected to commit to live and work or study in NSW for the first two years of your time in Australia.

  6. The vac2 usually paid not long before visa is going to be granted. Once everything else has been accepted.

Thanks lebourvellec! I've already told my agent to let them know about my willingness to pay the VAC2. And today I got a notification in my ImmiAccount that a correspondence has been sent. But I can't view the correspondence, may be because my agent can only view them. How do they notify when to make the payment? Do they send an invoice or something?

    Thanks again. Cheers!

  7. Hello all! I am Kayes from Dhaka, Bangladesh.

I'm quite getting closer to the end of my migration processing. Following is a summary:

    Skilled Nominated (subclass 190, NSW)

    EOI submitted: 14/07/2012

    SkillSelect invitation: 17/07/2013

    DIAC Lodgement: 10/09/2013

    CO assigned: 25/10/2013

    Police clearance/ medical submitted: 20/11/2013

I am now willing to apply for the VAC2 (English Education Charge) payment for my wife. I'd like to know how long it takes to be sent the payment invoice. And after VAC2 payment, how long it takes to be granted visa.

    Thanks in advance. Cheers!
