  1. Thanks, the uni have all the above info and I asked them yesterday to do a letter as well stating all the requirements, but admin said they have to permission from the director of nursing who is on annual leave!!!!!!! I also requested all info from NMC yesterday and sent a cover email pleading with them to do this before the 30 days of what their timescale is to provide these documents. I have just spoken with my friend in perth she's a nurse manager and said its as bad over there, she doesn't know what's happening at AHPRA either. She's going to ring them Monday. We can see what another week brings! X

  2. Thanks Matthewroberts and congrats on the LOD of Anmac. AHPRA had requested me to provide evidence of Criterion 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8 on 18/06/14 and gave me up to 18/07/14. I provided the evidence and kept contacting my case worker who never replied to me till I received my registration. Hopefully it won't be long for your wife. Good luck. x

Hi, I have been waiting since Oct 2013 for registration, I'm having a nightmare with AHPRA! The uni keep providing the wrong information for criteria 6 and 8. Do you know what was exactly sent for these criteria as the uni can't believe that it hasn't been sufficient evidence, I honestly believe they want blood!! They have all my transcripts (I was diploma trained 2000-2003) and all additional info and they sent information on pharmacology.

Also for anyone else in the same predicament as me, today on the AHPRA website on the news release is an email address for anyone having trouble with registration who applied before the new changes in Feb 2104 to contact them, I have tried but with time difference and the weekend hopefully I will hear next week.

On the 1st Aug I have been served a final notice date of the 30th Aug and say will withdraw my application if the appropriate information is not sent! 11 months in and still no registration, 12 years qualified and feel like I'm just starting out! Our house just sold and hubbie already give his job up, we should have moved in March then postponed to Sep due to this, now looks like we could never go! Had permanent residency for 2 years now! I just feel like I am living a nightmare not the dream we should be having.

  3. Hi just heard some news about registrations from a couple of friends of mine, one took 14 months but went through after months of misery and the other who only applied (diploma trained) in February has has paperwork accepted and off for finalisation so at least their coming!!

  4. Hi again Hayley,

We're starting off in Rockingham, but as a district nurse, it'll depend where I can get a post, IF I can get my registration! Otherwise I'll look at a change in career, although what I'll do after 23 years nursing, I really don't know! Let's stay positive.

    Best wishes

    Tracey

    Hi Tracey,

We stayed in Rockingham when we went over to activate, but think we are going to move north, but I'm happy to go where the work is, whether I'm a nurse or a florist/hairdresser/etc haha. Let me know how you get on : )

  5. Try and stay positive Hayley, I hope the worst that can happen is they send us on a bridging course! And although it's not cheap, if it has to be done, so be it! We're in Wirral, not far from you! And moving to Perth in November.

    All the best.

Thanks, I know iv lookied into the bridging course, it just make you laugh when you have been qualified for so long doesn't it! We are off to Perth too think we finally decided on north of Perth as been in contact with Joondaloop health campus, but been looking at Fiona Stanley but it stated their is a job freeze until June 30th. What about you?

  6. Hayley I am sure it would have been covered. I did my training 15 yrs ago. Might be worth speaking to an old tutor that is still around. My tutor asked me to dig out my portfolio and tell them what was in it regarding medicines management. They then got hold of the archived lecture material and drafted a document all about medicine mgm, pharmacology etc. I think they put something in about the OSCEs too on drug calculations. - did you do those? Ahpra haven't asked me for anymore info on criteria 8 so I'm assuming they are happy with that bit at least!!

No the osces came in the year after at chester, iv had quite few emails back today from them they are looking into it for me so fingers and toes crossed they can help, i even got work to send all my mandatory medicines management and iv study days over but not enough. Il get there as hopefully everyone will soon. Good luck to all x

  7. Hi Lisa, thanks I have already done this it was the pharmacology part of the new criteria for AHPRA that I need, I'm struggling to get the info from uni as it was 14 years ago and they say what they are asking for wasn't covered then! I'm panic stricken as due to fly out in September. Someone on the thread said they got NMC to send something over but not sure what. I must be sending off 20 emails a day but don't seem to get anywhere.

    thanks

  8. Hi Hayley,

Yep, we are all being driven crazy on here but at least we're all in it together.

We've got PR as well & the house is up for sale. The college I did my nursing degree at no longer exists & my transcript only states pharmacology so the NMC sent some general EU directive. I've no idea if this will be enough evidence to cover criteria 8 & will just have to wait for the outcome. Personally I'm determined to go no matter what even if it means a career rethink.

hi, can I just ask about what the NMC did for you, what info was it and was it easy enough to get them to send it for you?

    Thanks

    Hayley

  9. Hi Everyone,

Thankyou so much for your responses I totally felt like I was on my own and Ahpra had forgotten about me! I trained at Chester university in 2000, but at a site in warrington that has since been knocked down, I'm going in tomorrow to see if I can get anywhere il keep you posted. Good luck to you all!

  10. Hi, can anyone help on my query about Ahpra?

We already have PR, house ready to sell and sorting removals!! But my registration still hasn't come through, I applied in October 2013 but they said as it wasn't processed in time and it was transferred over to the new criteria which is a nightmare! I have been given 3 extensions now and they have asked for info on pharmacology criteria 8 also criteria 6 but I thought this would be my transcripts which they had in October. However it was 14 years ago and my uni have said we probably didn't even cover half of what they are asking for! I'm am soooooooooo stressed as due to move out to Perth in September. Has anyone come up against this?

    Thanks Hayley xx

  12. Hi,

We are due to stay in Rockinham in May in a holiday let for 3 weeks to activate our 175 Visa in view to making the move in Jan 2014, we are from Warrington in the north west and and consist of me Hayley (35) hubbie Nige (44) and 2 very cheeky kids harry (6) and Evan (3). I am a nurse so will be looking at hospitals in and around perth but dont really want the city life, any ideas on a nice affordable suburb with good primary schools? also looking for car hire but the price we have been quoted is taking the @@@@ so was wondering if might be cheaper to book when we arrive.

    Thanks for listening!!

    Love

Hayley, Nige and 2 cheeky kids x

My Hubbie into cycling and the kids into swimming and rugby so looking for that to, I jusy like having a glass of Vino in the sun!! Also We have been looking at car hire for May and it is soooooooo expensive! do you have any advice on this would it be better to book once we are out there? is rockingham far from the aiport to get a cab then sort hire from rockingham?

Sorry to ask all the questions but got a bit carried away when i seen you were in Rockingham!!

    thanks and kindest regards

Hayley, Nige and Boys : )

  14. Hi Leah,

Will you be sitting the general or academic? I sat both as was given the wrong advice!! I passed the general but failed the academic by half a point! but passed on my second go, I have to say it, it was a long day!! but if your determined you will be fine! I would by the manual as it helps to show the layout of the questions.

It cost £115 but that was 18 months ago so i would check with your local university.

    Good Luck!!
