<p><p>Anyone know for sure if the LAFHA is being scrapped in the Summer? We claim it and are in a real pickle now as it will be very difficult for me to get work over here (we're in Canberra). I can work (we're on a 457 visa) and do from home for around 12 hours per week, but we have two young children and aren't entitled to childcare subsidy so it will be more expensive for me to work and pay for childcare. If it is scrapped I think we may have to go home. Does anyone know for sure or can anyone suggest anything at all we could do!? Really don't want to leave after less than a year. X</p></p>

<p><p>Hi! Just wondered where in Australia you are? I'm in Canberra and your post rang such a bell as I too am thinking of going back to the UK and also have children the same sort of age (6 and 18 months). Also, I have found it hard making friends here, though I have lots of acquaintances most people already have established friendships and it's really hard work!
