  1. Have planned to do the same. Got an appointment with justice of the peace to do all my docs again, and just hope my NMC one finds its way to them from the AMNC. My friend has just been registered and did not have to send any prep stuff in, and did not have to provide any character references at all either.

    What alot of double work!

Thanks, may ask a few other questions if thats ok!

    Donna x

No probs! How long did it take your friend to get registered? x

  2. Hiya,

Can I just ask you a little question Lil Bev. Did you get the ANMC to forward your paperwork on for you, and did you just send in a CV also? I see some girls are sending in a copy of their prep for one year, did you do that too?

Sorry for the mountain of questions!!

    Donna x

Hi Donna, I've asked them to send it on for me but everytime i email them to get it confirmed i get no reply!!! Yes i sent a CV with my application, i sent all docs asked for just incase they didn't get the stuff from ANMC, plus it saves me paying out for NMC verification again. Still need to sort out evidence of CPD to send them x

  3. Hi all, sorry not read all post tooo long.... I think i have cocked up my registration big time. Im usually very organised but think got a bit lost with paperwork overload!!! iv sent my application but feel iv made 2 mistakes.

    1) got solicitor to sign not notiary

    2) read you have to send off somthing for fitness to practice? do you have to get the NMC to send something?

Im not in any real hurry as only just put in for PR visa but thought i would try to sort early. Will the whole application be rejected or will they advise what i have done wrong and instruct me to put it right?? iv sent some emails in the past but rarely get a reply. Is it worth me sorting the certified documents again and getting a notiary to sign them and forward them now??

    Lisa

Me too Lisa, i went to the court to get mine certified (same court as before), and only realised when i had got home that the stamp they used said magistrates clerk not JOP!!! hope they will accept these, but they were JOPs!!!. I sent them in Feb and still not heard a peep!

  4. Hi Bev if i was you, i would forward evidence of professional development as you will certainly be asked for it. My ANMC file didn't contain evidence of this and it was requested as it's part of the criteria for registration.

The verification you have on file is acceptable so long as it's not more than 12 months old.

    Good luck.

Thankyou, will crack on with it asap!

  5. Thanks Gill, i'll wait and see if they ask for it...(probably be this time next year knowing the time and trouble they are causing!). I know i've been filling in form after form since Nov!! Big dream for 6 years but only just bothered to start sorting things as OH is in the forces and due out in July :jiggy:wish i had started things a bit earlier though! I've noticed i'm getting alot of headaches recently...must be due to staring at this bloody thing day in day out!!!! lol  x

  6. I recently have had registration confirmed, and I had to provide only a c.v, evidence of professional education and marriwge certificate for change of name, all rest of documents were covered by my anmc assessment,

    Gill x:biggrin:

Thanks for that info Gill, i have been wondering the same thing myself. It saves me messing about with the NMC sending verification again! Just emailed ANMC today to forward on my docs :cute: What sort of info did you send for evidence of professional education?

Congratulations on getting your registration! and a visa CO!!

    Bev x

    In Australia and New Zealand:

    • Occupations in this unit group have a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).

My OH has the advanced diploma, so is that no longer enough and means the ANMC skills assessment we've got is no longer valid?

Any help or previous experience on this appreciated.

They accept the UK's Advanced Diploma, all they do is compare the clinical/theory hours completed at university against their degree's standards (as i have been panicking myself as i too have an Adv Dip!)

The criterion for a registered nurse or midwife is met when the applicant has a minimum qualification of a Bachelor

degree, or qualification combined with experience that is comparable in duration and content to the nationally agreed

  8. I am in contact with Geneva health and they sent me info and tips for the new registration, hope this helps everyone

NMBA (AHPRA) REGISTRATION APPLICATION – HANDY HINTS

Following is information that may clarify queries that you have regarding the NMBA application form and accompanying document requirement:

    • Information regarding documents that can be used for ‘proof of identity’ can be found on the NMBA website (see following link)

    http://www.ahpra.gov.au/en/Registration/Registration-Process/Proof-of-Identity.aspx

To clarify, the minimum requirement is that you provide a document from Category A (so for most this can be your passport). You then are just required to provide in addition to that if possible at least one document from categories B, C, and D. So if you are unable to provide any documents from categories B, C, and D also, then just the document from Category A (ie - your passport) will be acceptable.

    • Change of name document proof is required if you are stating on your application form a previous name that you've had, or have another name that you’re also known by, or any of your accompanying documents are in a different name than is stated on your application form. This may include a birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce document certificate, deed poll document etc as applicable.

    • Accepted authorised persons for certifying documents to accompany overseas registration applications has yet to be confirmed by the NMBA. The NMBA are expected to be advising on this shortly. At present please enquire with your Geneva Health consultant regarding this and they will advise you accordingly.

    • Verification (statement of good standing from - for example from the NMC) and IELTS results (if applicable and if being sent directly to the NMBA) need to be posted to the following address (all overseas applications are to be processed at the NMBA office in Victoria, no matter where you are to work in Australia):

    AHPRA

    GPO Box 9958

    Melbourne

    VIC 3000

    Australia).

    • It is acceptable to either attach a certified copy of IELTS results to the application, or have the results sent directly to AHPRA.

    • On application form - Question 6 - as hospital is not at this stage known, just write your current residential address here instead and this will be accepted.

    • On application form - Question 13 - it states that your employer needs to sign and write 'this application is true and correct as at (insert date)' on your CV. This is a printing error in the application form ( the application form is to be amended by the NMBA in due course). It is yourself, not your employer that needs to sign and write 'this application is true and correct as at (insert date)’ on your CV.

    • The fee for an overseas application is: Application fee - $220 and Registration fee - $115. So a total of $335
