  1. Hi Guys....

Just wanted to add a glimmer of hope to all waiting this bank holiday weekend. As you know we have ABPF yesterday and apart from the obvious excitement yesterday, thought nothing of it when I got up with my children at 6.30am this morning!

However... when my OH surfaced at 9am and checked his emails - we had an email from our CO which was sent at 3.13am today - Team 2.

They have requested Meds and PCC and have requested we respond within 28 days. I have a question.... we are having the week off at the beg of June for half term and this is outside of 28 days. Does this mean we will have to bring our meds forward and does anyone know if they are open weekends?

Thanks all and have a great bank holiday weekend.

    Liz

  2. Morning guys!

ABPF for us today....... Eeeeeeek! Thought I'd check quick before work and I nearly missed it as I was reading the top line which still says commenced. Then I saw today's date and ABPF! Wow, I thought I'd be really nervous when we got it but I'm so so excited!! Must be all this rain......

We've got half term off beg of June so am going to book meds for then. I'll let you know when we get an email re CO.

Happy Friday, and May the 4th be with you!! Ha ha

  3. Right here goes..... been following since the original thread last year and due to my little shock I thought you had disappeared last night I thought now is a good time to add ourselves to the timeline. Applied early Dec, husband main applicant as I work in the media and this is nowhere to be seen! So, this morning I have swapped the ipad for the laptop so I can add our details! Have to say and I am sure this is pretty common, but we are starting to feel a little nervous now.... didn't anticipate it till later this year, but hey... one step closer to our dream of living near family in Melbourne :)

  4. Hi there, as we will be putting our 175 in v soon (this weekend hopefully), could someone please post the link to the spreadsheet that you guys talk about? Or let me know where to go to (the spreadsheet with the 175 application timeline on that you mention quite a bit).

Thanks in advance :) liz x

  5. Hi, I am new to this post, thank you Eng32!

We were unfortunately rejected today for VIC SS - the letter stated that my OH skills are not 100% suited to their requirements at this time. He is a Systems Analyst.

Never mind..... back to our original plan, we are going to apply for a 175 visa this weekend. Dependent on one thing..... We get IELTS results on Friday and need 8's. If this comes back successful, then we have a weekend ahead of form filling and visa applications!

To be honest, we only started the process "officially" 7 weeks ago. We looked into it in December last year and found out OH has to pass some Microsoft exams, which he has now done. We got the positive skills assessment back in 3 weeks and also the result from VIC SS in 3 weeks, all be it the wrong result!

So, to be honest, we weren't originally expecting to be applying for a visa until March next year as both the skills ass and SS stated upto 12 weeks each.

Its a good job we found out its a no from VIC now as OH turns 40 mid Jan and we wouldnt have been able to apply for a 175 after that as we wouldnt have enough points. So, thats our positive - at least we know now and can do something about it!

When we get IELTS results Fri, I'll keep you posted as if they are positive, then we can join the '175' gang.

    Fingers crossed for Friday x
