  1. Hi

I've been to visit a few schools in Berwick and for some reason i dont get a good feel from any of them really, not sure why just totally different than the UK

Been to see Harkaway School, nice and small only 170 plus kids, but in the class they have age 6,7,8 in my sons year (he is 8)

seems a little far out too.

Berwick Primary School, have approx 900 kids, with approx 28 per class with one teacher then another class in the same room but divided off and sometime join a class room

Berwick Lodge Primary, have approx 650 kids, with the same approx 26-28 per class one teacher.

Berwick Fields wouldnt let me view until i was in the catchment area.

All the classes seem very noisey and nobody doing any work, apart from talking....lol,

Can anyone please help or put me in the right direct for my 8 year old boy.

    Thanks

  2. Sorting out my paperwork ready to go next month and it says I have a 175 visa on the top and 176 on the bottom of the visa grant , our 176 is for QLD but heading to Melbourne thiinking we had the 175 like the visa bureau told us....think I just got the major wobbles incase they sent us back ....lol or couldn't havent citizen ship after 5 yrs...,they said basically its fine go where ever...lol due to my husband having found work already

  3.

I'm currently in the process of shipping with John masons and there now saying a need an import permitt for a kids 120watt elctric scooter that goes 10mph and a 12 v battery quad which is for a 3-5 yr old? Think this is daft for children's toys

Permit cost $50, which is fine. But takes 4-6 wks.

The quad i can walk faster than the bloody thing...lol

Has anyone sent any of these items

Kids are devastated they cant take them.

    Thanks

  4. I might declare the tent because we have no used that....but we have bee buying things new to take with us...such as kitchen wear and new bedding, so we can leave the other in the house until we go.

We have a big BBQ too and table and chair but they are 2 yrs old but new in the box ....I suppose we can just unpack and put in one of there boxes.

The new bedding take out of wrappers etc...

What about kids toys there's probably ten mew items do out think they will pull up in that?

  7. Yeh I have noticed a lot of schools have 20-22 pupils per class which is great...better than 30 here. Have you been over to validate or is your first time, we have been to Melbourne twice once for 6 months about 11 yrs ago and in feb to validate for 3 weeks. We have sold our house and plan to move out on 1st October. Got John Masons coming 3rd sept, providing we can get the contracts signed for the house, not booking flights or paying for shipment until I no for def...lol.

Were are you from? Am I Rochdale not far from Manchester.

It would be good for our boys to meet up some little friends for them.....and for us..lol

    My husbands a joiner.

  8. Hi my husband is going to Melbourne in sept us in October, got two boys 8 and other will be turning 4 at the end of October. Not sure properly were we will be living yet my husband has 4 maybe jobs which he is going to look into when we're there. But we are looking over your kinda of way.

Are you excited and nervous ...lol......and sim of researching..

    Goid luck keep in touch

  9. Don't declare it......I have bought quiet a few items just take it out of the box and get the shippers to pack in there box,

Ask the store if that model has been out more than 12 months or when it was manufactured the can tell off the serial number. If its been manufactured over 12 months ago..they won't know
