For a month, by the time you've bought it and insured it and then lost money reselling it, it will almost certainly be cheaper to rent a decent one 

Oh yee of little faith, there's plenty of vans in our price range, may even just buy a small van, Berlingo, Caddy etc. . Lived in vans for years in Europe & U.K. & Aussie, so kind of know the deal. Really interested in Insurance recommendations, thanks for your input .

We're coming back to the UK for a month for a holiday after living in Oz for 10 years & our U.K. driving licences have expired. Anyhow We're going to buy a campervan & then get a mate to sell it when we go (hopefully save some money) anyhow anyone had any luck getting temporary insurance & using their aussie licences & if so who & how much. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Billy & Jane 

We had LG and she was really good, give her a ring she was as straight up about things as she could be.

We have LG as well and I also called her on Wednesday morning, she said that they were processing February's at the moment but ours which went in on the 23rd of March may be officially approved by the end of this month but should definitely be by mid-August. It's been a long nail-biting journey and I totally empathise with other POMSINOZERS and good luck to all of you.

Our Visa was approved on Tuesday 9th of August 2011 by LG, many thanks to her) which is a little over the 4 month mark. We are over the moon and have are just about getting over the hangovers from our Visa Party!. We can now start to plan for our future and get out of the UK before it goes up in flames or implodes financially(or both):biglaugh:.
