  1. Guys, I have applied for police check for home country, result will come until end of week. I've already attached intention to obtain, do you think it's gonna be ok?

Also my husband got his police check from 3 years ago, since then IN TOTAL he left Australia for less than 3 months. Do you think he need to get a new police check?

Hi Samantha 11, police checks only last 12mths. We had to get new ones for Australia and the UK before applying.

  2. Hi

With all your experience I wonder if you could offer some advice. I have contacted the relevant government agency re imports but had no reply. We are hoping to take over a royal Enfield 125. Although the vehicle is registered to the OH. He has no other documents as it was found amongst his late fathers possessions, but not documented in the will. It is a restoration project and has not been on the road since the 1960's. He has all the receipts pertaining to the various bits and pieces he has bought for the restoration.

He would be devastated if he was unable to bring it with him as he has no intention of selling it. How do we go about importing it, does it come under the personal import scheme as it's not working?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

    Thanks in advance

    Rachel

The chap was asking for advise, not for you to pass judgment on his situation! And for your information - a baby is not proof of a relationship. My partner and I have 3 children, we have never felt the need to marry, and despite the fact that they all have is name on the birth certificates, we have had to prove our relationship.

To Curtis - I hope you are able to resolve your issues swiftly.

  4. I think we do need to go back as far as gcses to prove that we have studied in English. There's not very much clear info on this out there! Can anyone else out there help us please? :chatterbox:

    Hi lisa

I have just completed my AHPRA registration in nsw. I supplied my o level certificates, a level certificates both which had the name of the school and college on them and then my training transcripts supplied directly from the university and this has been accepted with no problems. I think you only need to provide ilets if you are applying for a skills assessment for a pr visa. I'm being sponsored on a 457. Hope that helps.

  5. Hi Michelle

For AHPRA registration on a 457 you do not need ielts, just proof that you were taught and assessed in English. Ie a letter from your senior school with the dates you attended. You also need to contact the University that you did your training with and get them to supply a copy of your transcript directly to AHPRA (costs for this vary) and obviously you have to pay AHPRA for the assessment and registration, which is currently just over $530 roughly £360. I am currently awaiting my registration having submitted all my docs after they emailed me for further information. Oh and you will need a certificate of good standing from the nmc £34. Hope that helps x

  6. Hi

Have received my acknowledgment from AHPRA in Sydney that the have received my application, 3 weeks ago. They still haven't taken any money.

My question is, how soon after your acknowledgment where you charged? I don't want to be on their case to soon, but I do have a job offer, so time is getting on.

    Thanks for your help

  7. Hi All

This may have already been asked but the thread is so long I can't seem to find an answer. Have potentially been offered a job by an employer who is willing to sponsor, but when I went onto the ANMC website, for the skills assessment they said that a temporary visa had to register with APHRA. Does this mean I don't need a skills assesment for an employer nominated visa??

    Help please

    Rachel
