  1. Wow, reading this has made me feel very nostalgic, I remember all you guys, we made the final move in July 2013, we did settle in Mornington, but have now downsized and moved to Brighton. So happy and feel this is really home.

  2. Hi Michael. Thanks for that. What primary are your kids in? Is it Bentons or Osborne? How are you finding it? And how are you finding the high school? How do they compare to schools back home? Thanks.

    Hi Marie Jo

I live in Mornington, we arrived 2years ago, my son goes to Mornington Secondary College, you will be hard pushed to find a state school with more extra curricula activities, so if your daughter is into sport they have everything from Aerobics to Swimming etc. If she is more into the arts the Musical opportunities are amazing School bands, drum corps to name but a few, the school productions are fantastic, the staff are so dedicated and put a lot of time and effort making this all possible for the students. My son is now in year 11 he is studying for his VCE, there was a huge choice of subjects for VCE, students also have the opportunity to do VCAL or a VET course at TAFE, they also have introduced apprenticeships this year, where a group of students, not only from MSC but also Mount Eliza and other local schools can study horticulture. Personally I think it's a great school, go and have a look around.

  3. Just a quick question, when you get 5 spare mins will you do me a favour and check your online application and let me know what it says under the other applicants when you click on their 'applicant approved' link, its just as on mine when you click on my OH's his has details about his visa but when you click on mine and our daughters it says 'please confirm your passport number', I asked my agent if I should complete It and he says no as the visa has now been granted so i don't need to do anything else!! I don't know whether to just complete them myself but just wondered if anyone else has had this happen to them!! :wubclub:

    :chatterbox:

I had a look, and ours is the same, I put in each of our passport numbers, and YES it then showed our entitlements, but when I checked the DIAC website later, it was back to Passport info again, I guess, it is just a way for you to see your entitlement if you want to.

  4. That's odd we went to Maidenhead, we had a lady Doctor, we had to take our tops off for the chest x ray but not for our medical examination, and my Hubby certainly didn't have a hand in his pants..........much to his dissappointment.......When the Doctor asked if I do my own breast examination I said yeah, and so doi my 18 year old daughter, so we didn't have to go through the indignity of having a boobs prodded and poked.

  5. I think we are the only two going to Adelaide!! Have you ever been before? We haven't!!

Friends of ours moved out to South Australia 2 years ago, they live in Hallett Cove, they have made loads of new friends and they love it...I'm sure you will settle in and be just as happy as they are!!

  6. Yay.......... so I woke up to an email from my CO... visa granted!!!!

Soooooo happy... we can start making plans for our move! I hope everyone else in the waiting room isn't too far behind!!!

    Thats Great CONGRATULATIONS

  7. Yayyyyy....... my hubs meds have been uploaded too now!!!! Looks like we're in the waiting room!!!!!! xxxxxx

My Husband's and Daughter's have now been received, hopefully will show as finalised later this evening, my Daughter's will probably be referred, as she is Diabetic.

  8. Something is happening, my meds are now showing as received, so are our two sons, daughters showing Hep blood tests requested, But Hubby's still showing Meds requested......This is doing my head in!!!!!!!!! I just want meds finalised, and join Anlopa, Tania, TraxFM and all the others in the visa waiting room.

  9. Su, I called them and she said they had a problem uploading our results to e-health, but they were in touch with DIAC and ths issue is resolved. She expects the resilts to be updated in the next 24 hours!:v_SPIN: Maybe it was the same problem with yours?

    Hi

I just rang the clinic to ask "what is going on" and the lady I spoke to said, that it usually takes a week to get the results and upload them, she said I would imagine the Doctor will do them this afternoon and your records will update in the next day or two, i get the impression she doesn't have the foggiest idea, as Sophie's Blood test results were showing as received on the 28th October, and we all had them done at the same time.....Oh well we shall just have to wait and be patient.

    Su x

  10. Aaaaargh, Meds still showing as requested, Just rang the Bridge Clinic to make sure they have uploaded everything, the lady I need to speak to doesn't start work til 10, I'm off to work myself now, so will ring when I get home.....Why is something so simply taking so long????

  11. Let us know if your front page turns to received!!

I just can't see why she would have uploaded Sophie's without doing everyone else's.......Although thinking about it Sophie was the only on to have Hep Blood test aswell as HIV, as she is 18 and will be attending Uni when she is there.

    Su

  12. DCAL where do your meds say finalised? All my other docs say met now... other than the meds still say required... I guess we only had them done Tuesday though...

We had our meds the same day as you and our front page shows Further Meds rec'd, but HIV Blood says requested and Medicals requested, so I am not sure what they have received. Oh well I'll keep checking until all says met.
