  1. No I am not relying on this as evidence. I have been living with my partner in Australia since September 2013, within this time we spent 3 months together in Mexico. We have a joint bank account and insurance, telephone bills etc. in both our names. We have about 10 stat decs from family and friends and proof of trips taken together to New Zealand and other places in Australia. My partner has supported me since I arrived here and our bank and credit card statements show this. The only reason I want to attach things like screenshots from our emails etc is to add to what we already have but I am not relying on it. We have also registered our relationship and are awaiting our certificate.
  2. Inbox showing lists of emails to and from my partner while we were apart ad things like that
  3. Hi, Just wondering if I can take a screenshot on my computer and then attach it directly to my subclass 820 online application or do I need to print it out first and then scan it? Thanks
  4. Thanks everyone for all your help, it's a lot clearer in my mind now. This is all very new to me and i'm just learning my way as I go along.
  5. When I was in Spain we decided that we wanted to be together long-term and live together in Australia and that is when I booked a flight to come to here to live (which my partner paid for by transferring the money to my account). We believe that our defacto relationship began with that decision. Considering this would it not be helpful to show some correspondence prior to my arrival in Australia? Will the CO not accept that the defacto relationship began before I arrived here in Australia and began living with my partner?
  6. Thanks everyone for all the advise. The Skype messages were for a 6 week period just after I met my partner. I had planned to go to Spain to volunteer and we kept in contact everyday that I was there. The Skype messages do show our names and we were clearly communicating as a couple. I might just submit a few random pages from it to show that we were in contact all that time.
  7. Thanks a mill Pom Queen. I actually got my health check done yesterday as I found out from immigration that once the payment is made for the application it is considered to be submitted. it just seemed easier to go ahead and get the health check done so I can start my online application.
  8. Hi there, I am using the SkypeLogView to get my Skype chat history for my partner visa subclass 820 application and I am wondering how it should be presented? Firstly, does this programme show it in a manner that is official enough for immigration? And if so, do I scan it all (nearly 100 pages) or do I just scan a selection of pages for my online application? Anybody have a rough idea of how much they would require and would it be just a random selection of days from the 6 week period that we were apart? Thanks in advance xxx
  9. Hi there, I have just registered on ImmiAccount and filled out 'my health declaration" I have been given my referral letter and HAP ID. I need to do the health check before making my 820 partner application as they need to send the results to immigration before I submit my application (which takes a few days from when I do the tests). I want to leave the tests as late as possible so I don't have to redo them if the application takes close to the 12 months to process but I also don't want to wait till the last minute to start my online application. My question is this, can I pay the visa fee and begin the online application now and just wait to press submit when I have my health check done in a few weeks or can I not even begin the online application process until the health check is done? I know that I could actually to the health check after the visa is submitted but I want to submit a ready to go application with everything together and also you cannot use 'my health declaration' unless you are doing the tests before the visa application is made. Thanks in advance xx
  10. Thanks every for your replies, it's really great to get some advice. I have spoken to a few more migration agents and it seems like it could go either way which I think makes it a bit risky when it costs so much money. It looks like our best option would be for me to leave the country and apply for the prospective marriage visa. Does anyone know if it is pretty straight forward to get the partner visa after you have gotten married? Thanks again, Emily
  11. I have been in Oz since September 2013 living with my partner (who I met in America in July 2013) on a multiple entry ETA waiver visa. Problem is my partner and I only put household bills in both our names and opened up a joint bank account about 4 months ago so we don't have proof that I have been living with him for longer. My ETA is set to expire on the 9th September 2014 and I will have to leave the country if I can not get a bridging visa for an 820 application. I have read online that if we register our relationship this can mean that the 12 months living together can be overlooked. Only problem is that my partner is in the middle of a divorce and we cannot register our relationship until it is finalised, which will happen in a few weeks time and then it takes 1 month to apply and get our relationship registered leaving us only a week or two to apply for my visa before I have to leave the country. My partner is retired and I have a music degree and could teach singing but besides from that I don't have many other skills. Does that matter much if applying for a partner visa? Also, I am wondering how a bridging visa works? Is it automatically granted once I make the 820 application? I am just wondering as I might only have a week or two between making my application for the partner visa and my ETA expiring and I don't want to have to leave the country. I can't seem to find anyone to talk to about this, none of the migration agents will speak to me without paying a large fee first so if anybody has any information on what my chances are in relation to getting this visa I would really appreciate it. It is a lot of money to spend on the application if I have no chance of getting it. Thanks xxx
