I have an IPhone 4 which uses a micro sim. Are these micro sims readily available in Australia as a Pay as You go option? The phone is unlocked so I presume it will work ok once we arrive? Many thanks.

Ok, thanks. Got $2500 about to be put into an Aus bank account before we go but was going to keep the rest of the money in the UK and transfer it over when needed. Just wondering if they would check as we went through customs. Won't be partying too much until a job is sorted! Thanks for you reply.

About to go to Australia on my WHV and it says that a minimum of $5000 is required before entering Australia. Will the amount I have be checked as we go through immigration? Thanks.

Does anybody know if I would have any difficulty in renting an apartment in Sydney if I am a home owner already in the UK? I am coming over for a year in August and we are looking for a place to rent but I was concerned there may be some rules about renting out an apartment if I already owner a home (in terms or the landlord being concerned I may not be able to keep up with payments if we alreay own a home in the UK). Thanks!
