Hi there, just a general question regarding postage of goods from Uk to Australia. Family migrated last year and are craving a few old favourites. The main thing is a certain type of cereal bar.... I'm not 100% but I think that it contains nuts and some grains. Will I be allowed to send these through the post? or are they prohibited. Many thanks for any helpful contribution.

Perhaps I should have been clearer in my question. Yes we do hope to spend 6 months in Australia, our winters seem to be from Oct-March. I wasn't aware that I could obtain a 6 month visitor visa.

Hi I am new to the forum and this is my first post. Both our children have migrated to Australia. Eldest some time ago and youngest last year. We hope to spend our winters out in Aus and late spring/summers in the UK, but are unsure how we can do this with regard to visitors visas. Youngest did say that she had heard of people visiting New Zealand and renewing visa then returning, which seems a bit extreme to me. Does anyone have any ideas how we can do this???
