  1. That's wonderful! Congratulations! :-) That didn't take too long did it, how long did you qualification verification take? You have given me a bit of hope..I have my interview for the EYITT next week and have ensured I will get the experience of 0-2 to meet the requirements for Australia. I have already taught y1 for a year and mixed reception and y1 for 2 terms. This is out last ditch attempt I think. So many sacrifices I'm not sure I could cope with another failed attempt. Which visa have you applied for? Xx
  2. Sorry, also, where did you do your PGCE:Early Years school direct? And has that been acknowledged for an Early Years teacher role over there or Primary?xx
  3. That is amazing news, congratulations! I thought the schools direct routes were not accepted. Brilliant news though. I just don't know what to do as my BEd covers me to teach primary 3-7years but was only a 3 year degree. I could do a PGCE top up but then I still don't teach another language etc to meet the requirements for primary teaching state sponsorship. What was the EYPS you did? I have an interview to complete a full time 1 year top up to become and Early Years teacher in the 0-5 age range which I am hoping, in addition to my current qualifications may suffice? xxxx Good luck with it all!! xxxx
  4. I believe it can take upto 6months sometimes :-/. What qualifications has your wife submitted? Let us know how she gets on and good luck.
  5. Hiya...i am a qualified prinary teacher for the 3-7 year range. I did a 3 year BEd hons degree. I found a pgce top up course but have aince found out that actually i would also need to be able to teach another language. My passion is early years so i am going to take the hit and do the full time graduate entry eyitt course. This is not work based so hoping this will tick the boxes!!!
  6. Thank you for your help. I am planning on doing the graduate route not the employment based route for that reason. We have spent so much time researching only for things to change. I can use this funded route to continue into a masters of early years anyway so that works for us financially. BruceandLeanne... you can do an online pgce top up through uni of worcester but unless you teach another language too it will not be enough for getting in anymore. At the moment only Victoria offers primary teaching and that is with the requirement of teaching and additional language. Hence why i am taking the early years route and just hoping!
  7. Just wondered if anyone can help me. I did a 3 year degree in Primary Teacher with QTS (3-7years). We now know that this will not get us into Aus....SOOOOOO I am looking into the Early Years Initial Teacher Training Postgrad route and wondered if anyone had any experience or advice on whether or not this would work?? Not really sure what to add just want to see what people think on our options . Thanks
