    Glad to be home!

Thats it, we have made the right decison for us. We have no desire to go back but have come away with lovely memories. We are now focussed on other things and beginning a new chapter! X

    Glad to be home!

No it wasn't straight away, when we arrived I thought yes I can see us living here forever but once that initial feeling went and time went on we could never see our future there as it was never going to be home. X

Yes we were in Perth too, beautiful place visually but yes everything is very spread out and miles away! We are going to holiday in this country now and see the bits of it we haven't seen, so lots to look forward to this year!! X

Yes thats it, you're only here once so make it the best you can. I would definately not put anyone off moving to Australia i would urge anyone to try it as it works for some people and they live there happily. This was our decision and the best one for us x

    Glad to be home!

Well we arrived back home 2 mths ago and it has been a bit of a whirlwind. We had no issues with our little one on an Aussie passport they just advised to get her a British one too. We are loving every minute of being back, we've had such a lovely christmas with family and just feeling like we belong again is amazing. We did enjoy our time in Australia but it just wasn't home and when we looked to the future it wasn't there. Being with friends we have known forever and having the kids give grandparents a cuddle there is just nothing better. Our aussie adventure has made us appreciate our home a lot more. Its been the best decision for us and we are really looking forward to 2017! X
  9. Family and friends, proper seasons especially cold christmas, feeling like i belong. I just dont feel myself here at all and cannot wait to get home and start living again. I miss life long friends that know you inside out and that you can have a proper laugh with, just havent been able to do that here. We have tried it and im glad we did, but now its time to go.

    Confused!!

Really!! Thats brilliant u have stopped me stressing so much. Ive been panicking about it as i thought once her Aus passport came we could just get the flights booked and look forward to getting home. Then when i realised baby might not be allowed in to live on an Aus one my heart sank. I know i can get her a british one in a few weeks but we just wanted to get the ball rolling and get home. Thank you everyone so much for your replies you have all been so helpful.

Thank you for youe reply. I was just thinking is there no way we can go back to the UK and then get her British passport within a given time limit?

    Confused!!

Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone may have the answer to this as I am just getting more and more confused searching the internet. My child was born here in Australia and myself and my husband are both British and born in UK. We have decided to move back to the UK and have currently just received our daughter's Australian passport. Will our daughter be able to live in the UK or will we need a British passport before we arrive there? Im just a bit worried and would appreciate any advice anyone could give. Many Thanks
