  1. Available 5th July from Cairns area This little van is an explorers best friend, would suit anybody wishing to have a comfortable reliable vehicle to travel any distance around the country. Two previous Australian family owners (last one responsible for paint job), and now two sensible 30 something UK Honeymooners who have maintained her. After purchase we took her to the garage for a service and asked the mechanic to replace any major components in the engine that looked tired, all work undertaken on the vehicle was preventative and not remedial. Low mileage 250,000km, sound engine, chassis in good condition – clean and no rust Minor paint bubbling and some rust spots to body Comfortable bed - converts to bench seat and two individual rear seats with seat belts. I have four herniated discs in my back and by far this bed has given me the most comfortable night’s sleep while being in Australia (more so than the bed in the house we rented) cushions re-upholstered by previous owner within the past two years. You are not just buying a campervan; you are buying a moveable home that will save you $100s if not $1000s of dollars on accommodation. Wombi is like no other van, she is unique and comfortable. Not your run of the mill van with a board and a mattress thrown in the back, having a makeshift rack for storage and no internal cooking facilities– she is literally a home on wheels. No denying that she is an eye-catcher! We met so many wonderful people because of her. She has faithfully transported us from place to place without so much as a hiccup. 2. Thanks guys, that's a relief! We were worried that it would be a bit of a faff! Sounds straightforward enough! Now we just need to find somebody to buy it - any recommendations as to where the best place in QLD would be? Thinking we'll sell her when we've got three weeks left and then use some of the money for accommodation until we fly home.
  3. Hi Skippy, thanks for your reply, so you mean the buyer can just transfer the rego into their name online and carry on using the van and keep the rego in WA? Or did you mean transfer it to another state - which would seem silly as there is 10 months left. As a backpacker isn't based in any particular state can they just keep the WA rego? If if its WA rego and we sell it in qld does it need a roadworthy? Thsnkd
  4. Hello, hubby and I travelled to the east in a van we bought in WA. There is 10 months rego left on vehicle, can we sell it in qld without re-registering it there? Would perspective buyer face issues or would they just have to register it in qld or whatever state they are based in after purchase? We kept wa rego as have friends there who scan our post and email it to us. As we are travelling on WHV we don't have a fixed address. Could new owner, likely a backpacker keep wa rego?
  5. Hello, wasn't sure where to post this, but need help as not sure how the whole vehicle rego/interstate sale of a vehicle works! My husband and I travelled over to the east from Perth in a camper we bought there. We want to sell it in QLD before going home, but aren't sure of the requirements especially as WA doesn't have RWC and QLD does. We have 10 months WA rego left on the vehicle. Thanks
